The soft crackle of something sizzling in a pan stirred you from sleep.
Your eyes opened slowly to dim morning light filtering through the windows, rain still lightly tapping against the glass.
The smell of bacon hit next, warm and rich.
You blinked. Sat up. And then it hit you.
He kissed me.
Your hands flew to your face.
Okay, okay—not technically kissed. But like... basically.
His hand, his lips, my mouth. That was something.
Your heart picked up just remembering it.
But then—
"This isn't real."
Right. That.
He said he was dreaming.
Was he so tired he didn't realize what he was doing?
Did he actually think it was all in his head?
You groaned softly into your palms.
Either way... it's obvious now that there's no way he doesn't feel for me.
You sat for a second longer, collecting yourself.
Then you shook your head and dropped your hands.
Alright, girl. Act normal.
You rose from the couch and stretched slightly, noticing the familiar fabric draped over the backrest.
Your clothes, now clean and folded.
He washed them.
You smiled. Then padded toward the kitchen.
Bakugo stood at the stove, focused and calm.
He had a spatula in hand, flipping bacon in one pan, scrambled eggs already resting on a plate nearby.
He looked domestic. Barefoot. Hair a bit messy.
Still in those same sweatpants from last night. Only difference now was that he was wearing a shirt.
He must've heard you coming because he glanced sideways.
That usual smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. "Good morning."
You smiled back, awkward but trying to keep it together. "G-Good morning."
