The next two days had passed rather quickly. Everyone's time had been consumed by preparation, especially Caspian and Edmund's.
The both of them had been conversing with the army generals, making sure everything was understood of the plans and they were all in agreement.
It had been a long two days but, before they knew it, the sun began to go down on the final night before they were to storm the castle.
They were not the only ones busy though.
Miles beyond the trees, Jadis had been making preparations of her own.
While she was making these preparations, Y/N was none the wiser to her plans regarding the battle.
She didn't really have choice though, still being locked up in her room, alone.
From the small window of her room, Y/N had spent most of her time sat, staring.
The window, though small, looked out down towards the courtyard and she could just see the distant horizon and everything before it.
She knew a battle was to be had, overhearing some of Jadis's followers speaking about it.
With this knowledge though, she couldn't even begin to think how it would go or what may happen.
The witch had fallen before, surely with Edmund and Caspian in charge, she will fall again.
Y/N hoped for good this time.
While pondering and replaying everything Aslan and Darius had said to her over the course of these few days, She knew how she felt towards Jadis now.
Y/N found calling her 'the witch' to be more fitting.
She knew Jadis didn't care for her, not anymore. She used her, so she could torment Edmund, as if she doesn't do that enough.
With all of this, Y/N found herself more determined than ever but, all she could do was sit and wait.
Overhearing some more conversation that passed across the courtyard as some of Jadis's followers spoke, She knew the day was falling into the final night before the battle.
Wisely, she decided to get some sleep. She felt she may need as much as she could get.
Tomorrow was to be a rather busy day.....
--------------------
Running her hand along the cold, thick ice that lay before her in her throne room, she smiled.
Her magic was stronger than ever before.
She had dreamt of such power and now she wielded it with ease.
She had created a large ice wall, just Infront of her throne.
What this ice wall was to be used for though...
Well, those from Cair Paraval would find out soon enough. Edmund especially.
Smiling at the thought, Jadis turned and began to walk towards a balcony that overlooked the courtyard.
She had some extra preparation to do...
-------------------------
Back at Cair, the busyness of the day had began to cease as everyone was beginning to go to sleep.
Everyone but Edmund.
He went to his room early but found himself tossing and turning, having no luck with sleeping.
He couldn't deny he was nervous.
He's seen what she can do and, in some regard he helped her do it.
Again..
Shaking the thought, he had eventually decided to just step out onto his balcony, looking over the snow covered land.
