Chapter 24: The Army Of Ice

Y/N was sat on the floor with her knees close to her chest.

There was so much pain, so much blood.
She could hear the screams and yells from here.

Though despite her horror, she needed to stay strong.

She knew they were coming to save her.

She just had to wait..

*Knock *knock

Quickly looking up at the door, she gets up and runs to it.

"Edmund? Caspian?" She says through the door.

"Um, I'm afraid it's just me..."

"Oh, Darius? Shouldn't you be fighting down there?"

"Absolutely not. I'm letting you out of there, it's much too dangerous with the battle moving further through the castle walls."

Y/N let out a sigh of relief.

Then, the door quickly opens and she smiles up at him.

"Thank you Darius."

He gives her a small smile and a bow of his head.

"Please get yourself safe Y/N, no one is in the castle except for...the witch, and..."

He hesitates.

"And?" Y/N says, confusion in her voice.

Looking down for a moment he hesitates before looking at her.

"His majesty, Edmund."

Y/N's eyes widen.

She then quickly turns and runs.

"Y/N!"

Ignoring his shout, she runs around the corner and out of sight...

Once the door had opened enough, Edmund walked in, sword held tightly at his side, ready to attack at a moments notice.

He stops after taking a few steps into the room, keeping his focus on her.

She stood there with her wand in one hand, the stone knife in the other, her expression filled with amusement.

"Hello Edmund. So lovely of you to come and visit me personally."

She then begins to walk towards him, making him fall into a fighting stance.

Letting a laugh leave her lips, she shakes her head.

"You needn't be so tense around me, I'm not going to hurt you. Not yet at least."

That's when Edmund fully notices the large ice wall that was behind her.

She then stops as she notices him staring at it.

"Wondering what that is are we? Well, it's a little secret you see. I wouldn't want to spoil the suprise."

With suspicion in his eyes, he looks back at her as he keeps his sword arm steady.

"Where's Y/N?" He demands in a serious tone.

Before Jadis can answer though...

"Edmund!"

He quickly looks up to the balcony, above where the throne is.

Jadis, then laughs again.

"Oh? We have an audience. Well Y/N you are just in time."

Both Y/N and Edmund look at her in confusion.
