--Jadis's Castle--

The castle was silent as Jadis returned, her followers since fully aware of Edmund's escape.

Jadis herself, still fully unaware of what had happened, entered her throne room and sat down, smiling as she reminisced on the swift progress of the stone table.

Her excitement quickly dwindled though as a dwarf approaches her and bows his head.

"Your majesty, we have grave news..."

With an eyebrow raised, she looks down at the dwarf.

"Which is?"

The dwarf swallows as his words get caught in his throat for a moment, knowing that she certainly won't be pleased to hear what he was going to say.

"Your majesty umm, the boy....Edmund.."

"What of him?"

"He-, he has escaped the castle."

The dwarf watched as Jadis's expression had changed ever so slightly, the anger boiling up inside her.

Suddenly standing up, her voice echoes aggressively throughout the room.

"He has escaped!? How dare you let this happen!"

"I-i I'm sorry your majesty, we- we are unsure how he did it-"

Grabbing her wand, she takes a step forward which makes the dwarf stumble back, his fear swiftly increased.

Hearing her shouting, Dhargrim had bounded into the room but stops as he sees her.

"Your majesty, i overheard the situation. Would you like me to-?"

"No. I will go."

She then walks past Dhargrim and the dwarf as she moves out of the room, heading across the frozen lake and into the forest...

-------------------------

Unaware of danger that was making their way towards them, Edmund and Y/N had made quite a considerable distance through the cold and the snow as they made their way onwards towards the safety and warmth of Cair Paraval.

"Jadis is going to be furious..." Y/N says as she walks beside Edmund.

"You don't say....I'm happy to be away from her regardless." He says, letting out a small sigh.

The whistling of the wind then carries on their ears as they both fall silent.

...
....

Taking a glance at Edmund, she noticed him staring down at the ground as he walked, his face giving Y/N the impression he had something on his mind...

In turn she was fairly certain as to what it was.

"Your thinking about the stone table, aren't you?......."

He shuts his eyes for a moment before his gaze locks on the snow beneath his feet.

"We won't let her take you to it Edmund, you know that."

Giving her a glance and a nod, he sighs.

"I know...."

A silence reaches the both of them again but after a few steps, Y/N then remembers something.

"Oh! I never had the chance to tell you.."

Edmund turns his gaze towards Y/N as he waits to hear what she wants to say, occasionally looking forward to watch his step as he listens.

"Lucy and Peter should be back in Narnia!"

Hearing this, Edmund stops, looking at Y/N.

Noticing he had stopped, she stops as well.
