Chapter 26: A New World With Old Secrets

"where on earth-...?" Lucy says in astonishment, taking in the new space around herself as Y/N and Peter do the same.

It was a forest of sorts, tall trees dotted around in a strangely even sort of fashion. There was also perfectly round pools that sat in between certain trees, pools who's water was unmoving but still very much intriguing.

As Lucy and Y/N were looking around in amazement, Peter was taking the moment to think.

Why does this place seem familiar?

"Hold on..."

Hearing this, both Y/N and and Lucy look at him.

"Lucy, do you remember when the Professor told us about his travels to different worlds? With his friend and the two rings?"

Looking down to give herself a moment to think, Lucy then looks back up at him.

"Oh! Yes i do, you don't suppose this is it do you?"

Peter takes another look around and nods.

"I believe it is..."

A pause then settles between them all as they take in this new revelation.

"What was it called again?" Lucy asks.

"Hmm, let me think....The, Wood Between the Worlds? Was it not?"

As Lucy was thinking though, a voice slightly echos from a short distance.

A voice they all knew.

"It is indeed."

Lucy quickly spins towards the direction of the voice.

"A-Aslan?" She says in astonishment, seeing the great lion stood only a few steps away, in a clearing in the woodland.

Giving her a smile and a nod, Lucy's smile widened as she ran up to him and gave him a hug, Aslan letting out a small chuckle which made both Peter and Y/N smile.

The both of them then caught up with Lucy just as she pulled away from Aslan's mane.

"It's lovely to see you again Aslan." Peter says, bowing to him.

Aslan gives him a smile and a nod.

"As it is to see you Peter."

Aslan then looks to Y/N.

"And you, Y/N."

Hearing this she gives him a smile and a bow also.

Lucy then moves so that she can see Aslan's face better, his ears twitching as her voice hits them.

"Where are we Aslan?"

Taking a glance at her, he then turns a little as he looks around.

"We are as Peter said, in the Woods Between the Worlds, it is a place of peace and solitude, though it is not a place to dwell."

Y/N tilts her head a little.

"What do you mean?"

Glancing at her, he then turns to one of the pools.

"This space is merely a station of sorts, each pool takes you to a different world. Some are peaceful, some are not."

Peter looks around at a few of them, then back at Aslan.

"Is one able to take us to Narnia?"

Giving him a nod, Aslan turns around.

"Yes, but it has been suspended. Follow me and i shall explain further."
