Y/N grunts as she opens her eyes, feeling the dampness of the tunnel floor below her.
She was back.
Getting to her feet, she turns around, looking at the darkness of the tunnel before her.
"Edmund..."
He was in danger and yet she was back home.
She just wished she could do something.
Turning back around, she sees the light of the outside, the arch of the tunnel just visible from where she stood.
The rain still poured quite heavily, it's sound echoing slightly as it fell just outside the tunnel entrance.
She then, took a moment to think.
She couldn't just go home and not tell his siblings.
Taking a breath she begins to walk towards the entrance. Then, after taking a moment to collect herself, she begins to run outside and into the rain.
The house the Pevensie's lived in wasn't far from the park and nor was Y/N's.
She wasn't thinking about going home right now though.
Then before she knew it, she was stood at their front door.
Reaching out to knock, she hesitates but only for a moment.
Taking a deep breath she then knocks on the door, the rain pouring on her as she waits.
Luckily, it didn't take long. The door soon opening as her gaze went to the person who is now staring at her, a mix of suprise and confusion plastered on their face.
"Y/N? What on earth are you doing out there on your own? Where's Edmund?"
It was Peter.
He waits for an answer but doesn't get one as she had bowed her head.
Her emotions suddenly all hit her at once.
Tilting his head a little, Peter softens his voice, clearly seeing something was terribly wrong.
"Y/N? Are, you alright?"
That's when Y/N sniffs, wiping her eyes, the rain making it difficult to see her tears.
Peter looks back into the house.
"Lucy! Can you come here please!"
Footsteps could quickly be heard as Lucy stopped next to Peter, looking at Y/N.
"Oh my goodness, what happened?"
"I'm not sure but- come in Y/N, you'll catch a cold out there."
--
After getting Y/N inside, Lucy does her best to comfort her while Peter had gone upstairs to grab a towel so she could dry herself off.
She was sat beside Y/N, her hands on hers as she tried her best to calm her down. It took some time but her tears soon stopped, for now.
"Here we are Y/N, use this to dry yourself." Peter says as he comes downstairs, holding out a towel towards Y/N.
She sniffs as she takes it, thanking him.
After wiping her face and her hair with the towel, she looks at the both of them, Peter now sitting on the arm of the armchair that sat opposite the sofa, where she and Lucy were sat.
"Where are your parents?" Y/N asks, continuing to pat her hair with the towel.
"They went on a trip, it's why I'm here to look after Edmund and Lucy until they get back."
