"I do hope Y/N will be okay." Lucy says, fiddling with a loose thread on her dress.
After watching Y/N disappear into the pool, Lucy, Peter and Aslan had since made their way back to the pool that would take them back to Narnia.
Peter and Lucy had sat next to eachother on a rock beside the pool while Aslan sat opposite them on the soft grass
All they could do, was wait.
"Do not worry dear one, keep your belief in Y/N and she shall succeed." Aslan says, giving Lucy a small smile as he blinks gently.
Peter looks at Lucy and also gives her a smile.
"Aslan is right Lu, she can handle herself, we just have to believe in her."
Giving the both of them a smile, Lucy nods and looks down.
Silence fills the space for a few moments until Aslan stands, shaking his mane a little.
Both Peter and Lucy watch him as he does this, knowing that it must be time for him to go for now.
"Will we see you again Aslan?" Peter asks as Lucy stands up.
Aslan turns his head to look at Peter, giving him a smile of reassurance.
"You will, in due time."
Lucy looks at Aslan a moment longer before walking up to him to give him a hug.
Leaning into the hug, he gives her a moment to collect herself before she pulls away from him.
Peter had stood up and was now standing beside Lucy, putting his arm around her shoulder to try and comfort her as Aslan gives them one last smile before turning and walking away, Peter and Lucy watching him for a moment before looking down.
It took a brief moment but when they looked back up to where Aslan once was...
He was gone.
Patting Lucy on the shoulder gently, Peter turns back to the rock they were sat on before.
"Let's sit back down, hopefully Y/N won't be too long now."
Lucy nods and the both of them sit back down as they stare into the pool.
All they could do was wait.
They end up sitting in silence for a short while, both their minds buzzing with all sorts of thoughts and worries.
For Y/N, and especially for Edmund.
"Peter..?" Lucy says, making Peter turn his gaze to her.
"Do you think....Edmund is okay?" Lucy asks, looking at her brother with concern.
Peter looks down for a moment.
He wouldn't tell Lucy but, he was worried sick about him.
Looking back at her, he gives her a small smile.
"He'll be fine Lu, don't worry."

--Jadis's Castle--
The slam of the iron gates echoed through the ice carved room as Edmund sat on the floor, back against the wall.
His eyes were cast down towards the ground, his ribs aching with each breath.
The air was cold and made him sniff but, blood was the only smell that filled his nostrils.
He wiped his nose with his sleeve, blood staining it's once white colour.
