Alex sat at the table with his new roommate, Lucy, eating breakfast. She had made him wear a dress, which wasn't even part of his punishment. "That was delicious!" Lucy said with a bright smile.
"It was," Alex replied, though he wasn't enjoying himself.
Lucy picked up a book to read, while Alex glanced around the room for something to do. Everything seemed boring or humiliating. There were gossip magazines, princess-themed puzzles, and a TV that only played girly cartoons, makeup tutorials, or wedding planning shows. Eventually, he gave up and started a puzzle. The two spent the rest of the morning in silence.
Lucy suddenly closed her book with a sigh. "Well, Alex, I'm getting bored. How about we do something fun?"
Alex perked up; he couldn't agree more. The morning had been dull, and he missed seeing Ember, who wasn't around for the first time in weeks. "Sure! What do you have in mind?"
"I like sports! How about a workout?" Lucy suggested, her excitement obvious.
"That actually sounds nice," Alex said, glad for a chance to break the monotony.
Lucy beamed. "Perfect! Let's get ready. I'll grab something for you to wear." She rummaged through the closet and handed him a sports bra and a skirt.
"Uh... can I wear pants instead?" Alex asked, looking at the skirt with clear discomfort.
"No way! We need to match," Lucy said, holding up an identical set for herself. Then she added, "But I'll be nice—you don't have to wear a shaper while we're working out."
Alex appreciated the small mercy, but the outfit was still humiliating.
"What size shoes do you wear?" Lucy asked, already planning the next part of his look.
"Eleven," Alex mumbled, still staring at the skirt.
"Got it! Be right back," Lucy said cheerfully.
She returned with a pair of pink sneakers and long white socks. "Here you go! With these, your look will be perfect!"
Alex groaned inwardly. This wasn't something he wanted to wear, but he had no choice. He reluctantly put on the socks and sneakers, feeling more ridiculous by the second.
"Not so fast!" Lucy said, motioning for him to sit at the makeup table. "Let me do your hair first." She grabbed a pink elastic band and styled his hair into a high ponytail.
"There! But wait—you need some mascara. Even if we're going to the gym, you still need to look cute for the boys!"
Alex frowned. "Can't you just do it?"
"Nope! You're a girl now, and girls need to learn how to do their makeup," Lucy teased, handing him the mascara.
Alex hesitated but eventually applied it, his lashes becoming long and dark.
"Oh my gosh, Alexis, you're a natural! How about a little blush too?" Lucy said, holding up a beauty blender and a small container of pink powder.
Alex sighed but complied, dabbing blush onto his cheeks. When he finally finished, they left for the gym.
Walking into the gym, Alex felt completely exposed. He could feel everyone staring at him, some laughing behind their hands, others whistling. His cheeks burned with shame as he followed Lucy to the equipment.
They started with a jog to warm up, then moved on to cycling, stair climbing, and strength training. Lucy was relentless, pushing Alex to keep up with her. The workout lasted for hours, and by the end, Alex was drenched in sweat and utterly exhausted.
"Phew! That was a lot, huh?" Lucy said, wiping her forehead.
"Yeah," Alex panted, barely able to stand.
"Let's get changed," Lucy said, tossing him a bag before grabbing his hand and leading him straight into the girls' changing room.
"Lucy, I really shouldn't—"
"Don't be silly! You're a girl now, and the showers here are private. No excuses!" she said, pulling him along.
She handed him a bottle of glittery pink shower gel, shampoo and conditionair. "You worked in a salon, so I'm sure you know how to wash your hair properly."
Alex grumbled but took the products. The shower gel smelled overwhelmingly sweet, and the conditioner reminded him of his humiliating time at the salon.
After his shower, Alex opened the bag Lucy had given him. Inside, he found lingerie, breast forms, and his dreaded shaper. He sighed, knowing there was no way out, and put them on. The shaper squeezed his waist uncomfortably tight, and the rest of the outfit only made him feel more humiliated.
To his dismay, the bag also contained the dress and shoes he'd worn that morning. As he dressed, he noticed the other girls in the room staring at him, Lucy included.
"I'm done. Can we please go now?" Alex asked, his voice weary.
"Not yet. Look at your face!" Lucy said, pointing at him.
Alex glanced in the mirror. "What's wrong with it?"
Lucy placed a pink bag on the sink. "You forgot your mascara," she said with a smirk.
Alex sighed. "Fine, just put it on me."
"Nope! Like I said, you need to do it yourself," Lucy said, handing him the makeup.
Reluctantly, Alex applied the mascara, feeling even more defeated.
"Perfect! Now we can go," Lucy said with a grin.
Back at their room, they had dinner together. Alex was completely drained and collapsed onto his bed.
Lucy, however, was still full of energy. "Hey, want to play Uno?" she asked.
"No, sorry. I'm really tired," Alex replied.
"Oh, come on! It's just a card game. You don't even have to move," she said, pouting.
Alex groaned but eventually gave in. "Fine."
Lucy's eyes lit up as she jumped to her feet. "Great! I'm going to invite some friends to join us!"
Alex's heart sank. The day just kept getting worse.
