Dev: "I love you." he says softly. I bury my face on his chest blushing before looking up at him and kiss him.

Me: "I love you too and it's scary Dev because I have never felt like this about any man." he smiles while softly stroking my face.

Dev: "Thank you for spending the night." he says kissing my eyelids. He pulls me closer to him and kisses me deeply. I managed to sneak out yesterday at home and asked aunt Nqo to cover for me. I had to beg her and promise her that I won't do anything that might end up jeopardising my future or that will make her regret ever letting me out.

Me: "I'm hungry."

Dev: "Let's go make some food then." We get up from the bed and make the bed together. We go wash our faces and brush our teeth before going to the kitchen. I warm up and butter some croissants while he makes scrambled eggs and bacon. I squeeze a couple of oranges to make fresh juice.

Dev: "Can I please be allowed the privilege to take care of your other needs?"

Me: "I don't understand."

Dev: "Can you let me spoil you as much as I like? That's just one of the other ways I express my love."

Me: "Sure, I don't mind." He kisses my cheek and continues eating. My phone rings, I take it and see that aunt Nqo is the one calling.

Aunt Nqo: "I will be fetching you in two hours. Your father is breathing fire so I have to get you home fast."

Me: "Auntie, I can book myself a flight and then take a cab home."

Aunt Nqo: "Hhayi Swe! I said you were with me so I have to personally take you home!"

Me: "Okay." she hangs up. I turn to Dev and tell him that I have to get ready since my aunt will be fetching me.

Dev: "Okay babe. I guess I will see you back in Cape Town."

Me: "Yeah."

Dev: "I was really enjoying being with you."

Me: "Me too Dev."

Dev: "Only a week to go now." i nod kissing him.

As soon as I walk in, Mahle jumps on me, we hug each other screaming. Mahle is short and if you don't know us, you'd assume i'm older when in actual fact she is older than me.

Mahle: "Dude! It's been so long."

Me: "I know! Angithi wena you don't visit us anymore." Mahle's parents live broad well mostly because her stepfather is originally from that side so when he married her mother, they moved and only come to South Africa occasionally.

Mahle: "I am coming back bruh! I want to do my honours this side."

Me: "Okay that's nice. It will be so good to have you back." we hug again and walk inside. Gogo smiles widely as soon as she lays her eyes on me.

Gogo: "How dare you greet Mahle first nkosazana?!"

Me: "I'm sorry, gogo." I hug her tightly, laying my head on her bosom.

Gogo: "Where were you?! Everyone arrived here two days ago and you're only getting here now, why is that?!"

Dad: "Awumbuze ngempela mah ngoba mina ngizovele ngimqhumise ngempama." he says walking in.

Me: "I was at aunt Nqo's house." I answer looking down.

Dad: "Kanti wena Swelihle awuzwa?! What did I say about communication?! Or do you want communicate better with my belt?!"

Me: "Cha baba."

Dad: "You even missed your sister's welcome ceremony last night, ngenxa yani? yomfana?! Swelihle, don't make me beat you senseless uyezwa?!"

Me: "I'm sorry baba. I was at aunt Nqo's house and i didn't think it would be a problem."

Dad: "This is my last warning to you, the next time I will hit you so bad you will wish you never knew that boy of yours!" he says then walks out.

Gogo just dished up for me, she had cooked my favourite. She cooked uphuthu nembuya and chicken feet on the side. She places a glass of cold drink next to my plate, I thank her. She places the other plates on a tray and walks out with the tray. Dad walks in just as I'm enjoying my plate of food.

Dad: "Ukhamiseleni la?! You should be sitting with your sister in the rondavel outside unless you aren't pure anymore!?!"

Me: "I am baba, uGogo said I must eat and rest first."

Dad: "There's no time to rest, take your plate and go join them in that rondavel. Leave your phone behind."

Me: "Shouldn't I change into imvunulo first?!"

Dad: "Go change."

Me: "where's my mom?!" I am missing her right now.

Dad: "Leave my wife alone and do as I told you." I huff and go to my room to change. I find my traditional outfit inside my wardrobe. I quickly freshen up and. wear my outfit and a big jacket on top to be able to hide my phone and charger then send a quick text to my mans before putting my phone away and then i grab my throw blanket and walk out. I get to the rondavel and i'm welcomed by singing. I greet then go settle next to my sister, I hug her tightly.

Me: "I'm sorry I missed your ceremony last night."

Xoli: "I will forgive you if only you get me a McFeast meal with a milkshake." I chuckle retrieving my phone from my big jacket. I quickly order the food and add for the other girls too then pay with dad's card. I know he will flip but he will be fine. 

Junior: "Where were you vele?!" he asks after a little while.

Me: "With my mans."

Mahle: "Since when do you have a mans?!" she asked shocked, making us laugh.

Me: "Aybo! It hasn't been that long."

Xoli: "You should see them together, they're so cute." We continue conversing with the other girls participating in the conversation.
