The past few months have been both hectic and mostly bliss, especially for me. I mean, it was my first time spending the festive holidays surrounded by love and positivity.

We were now in Cape Town, we had already registered for the year and we were only waiting for classes to commence. We still were to live with Gogo Sibisi, who dad hired to be our new helper and guardian.

I'm startled by Swe banging dishes on the sink. I silently watch her, lately she has been very sour and moody. She had her uMemulo a month back by the way, mine will be next soon.

Me: "Hhaybo! What's going on?!" I ask holding her arm. She sighs heavily.

Swe: "I think Devone is cheating on me." I frown.

Me: "Why would you say that?"

Swe: "It has been a week Xoli and he hasn't contacted me at all and that is not like him." she says as her lips quiver.

Me: "Have you tried calling him or going over his place?!"

Swe: "Yes." she says settling on the one of the bar stools.

Me: "Maybe he's busy since we have just opened at school."

Swe: "No. I think everyone was right about him." she says quietly.

Me: "Bruh, come on."

Swe: "Ngempela. Just a day after my umemulo, I opened my legs for him." my jaw immediately dropped.

Me: "What?! and you didn't tell me?!"

Swe: "It was so special bruh, I even thought about how good our relationship is."

Me: "wow."

Swe: "Last week, I told him about how my cycle has changed and he assured me that it's normal. When I went to visit him, the smell of the food he was making made me sick. He assumed I might be pregnant." I gasp.

Me: "Ubaba uzokubulala Swelihle."

Swe: "I know, I know! We are not sure if I'm pregnant or not. It was just assumptions."

Me: "What are you waiting for?! You should have went to a clinic or gynaecologist to find out phela!"

Swe: "I'm scared."

Me: "Being scared isn't going to help you right now!"

Swe: "I know."

Me: "What if you are?!"

Swe: "Then I will have to face the music."

Me: "This is messed up."

I was at the mall with Swelihle. There is a doctor's consultation office here so I was accompanying her. She asked me to wait for her here at Wimpy and she would join me after she is done. I was having buffalo wings with chips on the side and a glass of bubblegum milkshake.

Voice: "I love a woman who doesn't shy away from food." I looked up and it was a man in shorts. I looked down at his feet, yup! he was wearing flip flops. I frowned finally looking up at his face.

Me: "You're disturbing me." I told him politely.

Man: "Sibonelelo Luthuli."

Me: "Ok?" I shrug.

Sibonelelo: "Can I settle your bill?"

Me: "Sure." I hail the waiter and ask her to pack my food in a doggy bag and to add three more burger meals. I glance at Mr Bill next to me and he is just smiling like a retard.

Sibonelelo: "If you're thinking whatever you're doing will scare me then you have another thing coming." I smile and nod as the waiter places my big takeaway bags. This man pays and the waiter leaves.

Sibonelelo: "Can I have your number?!"

Me: "Why? Just because you settled my bill at Wimpy?!" I ask not hiding the mock in my tone.

Sibonelelo: "No, because I like you and would love to take you out sometime."

Me: "Maybe someday when you wearing appropriate clothing, you can ask for my numbers again." he gasps lightly then chuckles shaking his head. I leave him like that and bump into Swe as she was avout to enter the restaurant.

Me: "Let's go and don't look back." she frowns looking around.

Swe: "Why?!"

Me: "I'll tell you in the car." Wereach the car and get in the backseat almost immediately.

Me: "Malume." I greet. He nods smiling. I hand him one of the burger meals.

Me: "You will get yours at home." I tell her when she stares at me.

Swe: "I'm pregnant." she says flopping on her bed and takes a huge bite of her burger.

Me: "What?!" she shrugs.

Swe: "I'm so scared." I scoot closer to her and embrace her. She cries heavily while eating her burger.

Me: "I'm sorry babe. We will get through this together."

Swe: "Ok."
