It's been a hectic past few months for all of us. While we were dealing with Swelihle's heartbreak from Mr Carson, we found out that Mr Carson had actually pursued Swe in hopes to win a bet with some his friends or rather other tutors in school, who all had been eyeing Swe. Dad decided to take the matters into his own hands and made Mr Carson and friends lose their jobs. He even wanted to arrest them but Swe told him it wasn't worth it.

On the other hand, we found out that Bhuti Fana has been in an abusive relationship with some woman and somehow sis' Ntokozo was a married woman. She finalised her divorce two months back and lost everything under her name so then mom and dad offered her to come stay with them.

We were in the middle month of November. We were still busy with final exams and Swelihle was still pregnant asf.

Swe: "Xoli."

Me: "Yes?"

Swe: "Can you please help me zip up my shoes?" Yep, we were now here. She had reached the stage of struggling to do certain things for herself.

Me: "Uyaphi?"

Swe: "Campus." I nod acknowledging her lies. In my opinion, I think she had gotten back with her baby daddy. She sometimes gets dropped off by a white car that is very familiar.

Swe: "Will I find you here?"

Me: "No, I'm visiting my mom."  Mom was to move to Durban next month. She had found a site and decided to build her house from scratch.

Swe: "Okay. I'm gone." She quickly rushes out. I take my bags and go ask uncle Bongani to drop me at my mother's house.

Uncle Bongani: "Asambe mshana." He says sounding very excited which is weird. Anyways I get in the car and off we go. Just in under 30 minutes, we arrive home. My siblings are playing with some kids just a house away from home.

Me: "Leago! Palesa!" I shout for them as soon as I get out of the car. They both run to me and hug me tightly. I was really grateful that our relationship was improving and very much intact now.

Leago: "We missed you!"

Me: "I missed you too."

Palesa: "Not me. Where is Iyana?!" Sometimes, just sometimes, mom allows them to visit me at my dad's house so sometimes it happens that mah and baba are in town with Iyana and Zizwe.

Leago: "Mama baked." He says excitedly as we walk inside the yard. I wave at uncle Bongani before closing the gate. We meet mom by the door carrying a lunchbox container. She hugs me shortly and kisses my cheeks.

Mom: "Hello sthandwa sami."

Me: "Hi mama."

Mom: "Go leave your bags, change and I will be back shortly." She doesn't wait for my response and rushes out the yard.

Leago: "She's going to her boyfriend." I frown.

Me: "What boyfriend?" He shrugs and walks off. I leave my backpack in my room and then go to her room to look for her charger since i need to charge my earpods.

Mom: "Baby girl?"

Me: "Please borrow me your charger?"

Mom: "It's in my left drawer." I open the drawer. I frown looking at a man's watch and a license card. I take a look at it and it's uncle Bongani's.

Me: "Mom, what is malume's license doing here?"

Mom: "Didn't you say you want icharger?! Shiya ezingakufuni." I nod as curious as I am. She leaves just as my phone rings and it's Sibonelelo.

Sibo: "Unjani muhlezi?"

Me: "Ngiyaphila unjani Sibonelelo?"

Sibo: "I'm not good. Can I please see you after work?"

Me: "Angikho, I'm visiting my mom."

Sibo: "Does your mom live out of town?"

Me: "No."

Sibo: "Okay send me your location and I will come see you."

Me: "Okay." I whisper.

Sibo: "Ngiyabonga ke mama, uyezwa?"

Me: "Sure." I bite my lip in attempt to stop the blush creeping in.
