BAFANA MESULI MAJOLA

Ntokozo: "My parents are still mad at me baby."

Me: "I'm sorry love."

Ntokozo: "It's almost Christmas and they haven't talked to me since the day I told them about our little peanut. Dad just told me to not bother coming home while they are this angry." she cries.

Me: "I'm sorry about that baby. How about you spend this festive season with your man and your in laws?"

Ntokozo: "No baby."

Me: "Please?"

Ntokozo: "I'll think about it." I kiss her face.

Me: "That's fine with me."

Ntokozo: "I can't wait to meet our little peanut though."

Me: "Patience babe. Three more months to go." I mummur against her lips while I brush her swollen stomach. Just as we were cuddling, a hard knock came through. I quickly wear my pants and tshirt then go answer the door.

Man: "And then?!" he asks sizing me up and down.

Me: "Can I help you brazo?" he didn't say anything but started punching me. His aim was really good because I couldn't even retaliate that much. He tried tripibg me but I just kneed his nuts and pushed him over the coffee table, breaking it in the process.

Ntokozo: "Aybo!!!" she screamed rushing in with her. ody wrapped in a towel. The man on the floor groans loudly as he stands up and glares at her.

Me: "Who are you?!" I scream at this man, who just clicks his tongue at my question.

Ntokozo: "Uh Fana, please leave."

Me: "What?! Angiyenzi leyonto mina!"

Ntokozo: "Bafana Mesuli Majola, leave my place please."

Me: "Why me and not him?!"

Man: "Because I'm her husband."

Ntokozo: "Philani, please!" she snaps at him.

Man: "Kanti am I lying?! Is this what you get up to when I'm away?! And you're pregnant on top of it all?!"

Ntokozo: "You left for months Philani, what was I supposed to do because you never even call me?!" she screams.

Me: "Excuse me, Ntokozo? What is going on here?!"

Ntokozo: "I'm sorry I was never honest with you Fana. I just... it had been long without a man touching me and you came and made me feel like a princess. You ..."

Man: "So you will seriously declare your undying love for another man, right infront of me?!"

Ntokozo: "Philani, please." she cries. I chuckle, shaking my head in disbelief. I seriously couldn't believe this. Just when I thought I had found an honest woman, someone to build with, this happens? I must be cursed or something because this really doesn't feel real.

I click my tongue and walk off to her bedroom to grab my stuff. I pack whatever can fit in my duffle bag and then grab my phone, keys, charger and wallet.

Ntokozo: "I'm really sorry Bafana." She pleads blocking my way.

Me: "Please move out of my way." I ask her calmly. I was really trying so hard to contain my anger. I didn't want to end up doing anything I might regret.

Ntokozo: "Give me a chance to explain myself baby, please."

Me: "Ntokozo, suka endleleni yami before I hurt you and end up in jail."

Ntokozo: "Okay. Please don't forget our appointment tomorrow morning." I gently push her one side and get in my car and drive off, leaving her standing in the same spot.
