We were now back in Cape Town and mom insisted on coming with us to help us settle in then she'd go back home in a few days. I was preparing to go to the mall alone, for some fresh air. I finished getting ready and took my sling bag and went downstairs.

Mom: "You look nice, iyaphi indlela?"

Me: "I'm taking myself on a solo date." she smiles.

Mom: "Ouu that's nice. Have fun baby, you deserve it."

Me: "Thank you mommy."

Mom: "Do you need mommy's card for some shopping?!" she winks.

Me: "Please mama." I say hugging her.

Mom: "Don't tell your sisters ke!" She says taking it out of her boobs.

Me: "Why is it in your boobs?"

Mom: "Because your big head sister, uSwelihle thinks it's ours." I laugh and bid her goodbye. I get outside and Malume Bonga already has the car ready.

Me: "Sawubona malume."

Malume Bonga: "Unjani mshanam?"

Me: "Can I please request an uber just for today nje qha?! Please."

Malume Bonga: "Get in the car shanoz." I huff and get in the backseat. I honestly find this 'having a driver' business abit absurd and dramatic.

Malume Bonga: "Do you want me to play you some music kiddo?"

Me: "Yes please malume." He turns on the radio and Treat Me Like Somebody by Tink starts playing. I kove this song, well it has kept me going during my whole scandal.

Me: "Malume, you listen to this kind of music?"

Malume: "No, my daughter is the one adding these songs in my phone." I chuckle nodding.

Me: "She has taste." He laughs softly.

Malume: "Ay, have you ever listened to uMaskandi mshana?"

Me: "Nope and I don't think I ever will." he laughs shaking his head.

Malume: "You kids of today!" He exclaims parking the car by the mall entrance.

Malume: "Call when you done."

Me: "Okay thanks malume." I exit the car and walk inside the mall. I decide to start at starbucks for a Caramel Frappe then start with my shopping. I start at Zara since there are these denim knee length shorts I saw online yesterday.

After I finish my shopping, I walk to

"Hey you!" I turn around and come face to face with Sonto Ndawo. What a way to ruin my day!

Sonto: "Aybo! I'm greeting you nje." I still ignore her.

Sonto: "Did i do something? I thought we were friends LJ?"

Man1: "Hey little girl? Can't you take a hint?!" Said a man behind her.

Sonto: "Firstly, who the hell are you?!" she asked frowning.

Man1: "The owner of this place. You are harassing my customer and I do not tolerate such behaviour in my business! I'm asking you nicely, take your things and leave!"

Man2: "She doesn't even look like she can afford this place." said another man laughing. I didn't even notice that there was two of them. We watch Sonto dramatically stomps her way out of the restaurant.

Man1: "I apologise for that." I nod.

Me: "You actually saved me, thank you." I gulp my drink and ask for another meal and for it to be a takeaway. I settle my bill and pack my things after calling malume to tell him that I am done. Just before I can exit the place, a waiter stops me and hands me a small envelope.

Waiter: "Read it at home. Safe Travels and we hope to see you again." I nod and walk off to the parking lot near the exit. Luckily malume is already parked by the exit, he gets out of the car to help me with my bags.

Me: "Ngiyabonga malume." I get in the backseat and get comfortable. I hand malume the takeaway bag after he settles in the driver's seat.

Malume Bongani: "Aw shano, ngiyabonga mfana wami yezwa?!"

Me: "It's okay malume."
