#NARRATED

As days passed, the Majola family remained hopeful and kept praying for Lizwi's recovery. The doctors were working tirelessly to save his life even though the road to life and recovery was hard and difficult.

On the other hand, the police were also working to find the culprit behind the shooting. They had to find something tangible to give to Letho who has been very impatient and frustrated.

Letho: "I hope you have news for me Detective?"

Detective: "Mrs Majola."

Letho: "Listen, It has been days since my husband was shot and you and your team still haven't gotten back to me, what is the issue?! I need answers!"

Detective: "I understand your frustration Mrs Majola and I assure you that we will find something before the week ends."

Letho: "Didn't you say the same thing last week?! Lalela la, don't you dare make me an idiot uyangizwa?! I SAID I WANT UPDATES!!! KANTI WHAT KIND OF CIRCUS ARE YOU RUNNING HERE?! HUH?!" she screamed and then sat down defeated.

Detective: "I apologise ma'am. We have tried tracing footages on the highway but there was literally nothing there. There aren't even any witnesses who can maybe help us!"

Letho: "I seriously don't understand why you people still get paid when you don't even do a quarter of your work. Nx!" she grabs her handbag and walks out. She gets into her car and notices a piece of paper on the passenger's window and she grabs it. She feels shivers in her spine as she read the paper.

"This is only the start so...Let the games begin baby!" the note read.

She battled with herself if she should take the note inside to the detective but thoughts of how these police officers were slow in doing their work made her take a picture of the note and drive to the hospital.

Her mouth and throat ran dry as soon as she walked into Lizwi's hospital room. Her knees buckled, failing to hold her weight, she slowly sat on the chair beside the bed. This has become her daily bread and she hates it. The constant crying and begging him to wake up, she felt weak and tired.

Letho: "Lizwi ngiyakucela. I can't keep living like this. I can't keep being string for the kids, nami ngiyafa Lizwi. My heart is so sore, please come back to me baby. I can't do it anymore, I can't Lizwilenkosi." she cried with her head lying on the edge of Lizwi's bed while holding onto his cold hand. The door opens and the doctor walks in.

Dr Gamede: "Oh Mrs Majola." Letho quickly wipes her tears and clears throat as she straightens her posture.

Letho: "How is he?" It was now a habit. She was growing tired of asking the same question all the time and receiving the same old answer.

Dr Gamede: "There has been a bit of improvement in his condition. It might not be much but it is something and it's something to be definitely grateful for."

Letho: "Thank you." she sniffed.

Dr Gamede: "I need you to please go home, get a bit of rest and then come back sisi." she tells her politely.

Letho: "No, I'm fine." she quickly dismisses her. Just then a call from KaMajola came through.

KaMajola: "I have organised 24-hour securities for Lizwi. They will be guarding his ward 24/7."

Letho: "Thank you so much mah."

KaMajola: "Take a peek outside the door and you will see them. I have spoken to the hospital management team and they agreed."

Letho: "Okay, thank you."

KaMajola: "Awubuye ke ekhaya before I fly there and drag you home!" she said in her stern voice.

Arriving home, she was met by loud laughter and noise. That only warmed her heart because she hated having to see her children so sad and heartbroken. All she wanted was for her kids to be stress free and let her worry about the big issues.

Letho: "Sanibonani." Xoli stood up and hugged her tightly followed by Iyana who held on to her leg.

Letho: "Hello Mama's baby!" she cooed picking her up. As she kept playing with Iyana, she felt the hair at the back of her neck stand. She could feel someone was watching her, she glanced around the room and saw nothing; the kids were still making noise playing their board games and all windows were closed.

Letho: "Sqalo, please make sure all windows are closed." she said and walked upstairs to her bedroom with Iyana.

After a while she went back downstairs and joined the kids and KaMajola. They all ate dinner while chatting and joking around.

Xoli: "Mah, can i sleep with you tonight?" she asked as everyone was already going to their rooms.

Letho: "Okay. Take Iyana with you and prepare her for bed. Eventually all the kids left for bed. Fana joined them, sitting next to his mom.

KaMajola: "We are about to talk grown people stuff so what are you doing boy?!"

Fana: "Gogo, come on. I'm old enough to help with anything that will bring my dad justice."

Letho: "I hope you are not involved in any disgusting gang nonsense, Fana!" she said giving him a sharp look.

Fana: "No mah."

Letho: "When I was about to leave the police station, I found this on my passenger's window." she says showing her mother in law, the note.

KaMajola: "I will look into it and I also wanted to tell you that I was thinking of taking the kids somewhere. Somewhere safe and far away so they can catch a breather and so we can also focus solely on this matter."

Letho: "You are right mah. I don't need my kids getting hurt or anything."

KaMajola: "Tomorrow morning nje, we are leaving. I will be back in two days ke mina."

Fana: "I am not leaving."

Letho: "Fana."

Fana: "I have a pregnant woman who needs me and I want to help you guys find the person who did this."
