I look away from him, fiddling with my nails. He pulls me by chin again, making me look at him. I release a shaky breath

Lizwi: "Ngiyacela ungixolele? I will do everything and anything to show you how sorry I am."

Me: "It will take time,Lizwi. You betrayed my trust and it will take time before I can actually get to trust you again."

Lizwi: "I totally understand baby." I turn around and lie back down on the bed.

Lizwi: "Can I hold you?"

Me: "No." my voice croaks betraying me. I feel his arms wrap around me anyways. I turn around to face him, I clench onto his tshirt and cry my heart out. I cry until I get a headache.

Lizwi: "Let's go home?"

Me: "Okay." I whisper. He squeezes my body in his hold and plants a soft kiss on my forehead. I get up and watch him help me put my shoes on. He kisses my head again before he grabs my things and hands them to me.

Lizwi: "Let me make the bed for you." I let him be. Now, I will have to deal with this. He will keep trying to do everything for me just to buy my forgiveness.

Me: "Lizwi?"

Lizwi: "Mkami?"

Me: "Your money or slaving around for me won't make me forgive you this time around."

Lizwi: "I know." he finishes making the bed and takes my hand, leading me out. We find Thoba in the kitchen having coffee.

Thoba: "Sisi? You good?" I smile walking closer to him and engulf him in a tight hug.

Me: "Thank you so much."

Thoba: "Don't worry, I got you. I'm still taking you with me." he winks. I giggle nodding.

Lizwi: "Thank you so much for being there for her."

Thoba: "Mxm! If she dare comes back crying to me, I will kill you Lizwi. I will make sure you don't get to stay in a coma and be David Genaro, ngizokubulala." I bite my upper lip to stop myself from laughing.

Lizwi: "I hear you and I promise to not make her cry."

Thoba: "Call me later, friend." He says handing me my car keys and phone. I nod my head and give him another hug. I walk out with Lizwi following me, I open my car.

Lizwi: "Let me drive baby." he says holding the driver's door and then opens the passenger's door for me before he rushes back to the driver's side. He gets in and starts the car before driving out.

Lizwi: "Would you like anything on our way home?"

Me: "Can we pass by the KFC drive-thru?" he nods and takes an off ramp to the highway. He drives into the first KfC iutlet we come across. I tell him what I want and he orders. The whole drive is silent as we move along the drive-thru line.

Lizwi: "Your kids chased me out of the house." he tells me after joining the main road after we collected our order.

Me: "Why?"

Lizwi: "They have been noticing everything happening at home and I happened to overhear them talking with Fana." The rest of the drive is quiet, with only the sound of me slurping my milkshake.

Xoli: "Mah!" she rushes to me and hugs me tightly. The other two also rush after her and throw themselves at me.

Junior: "Where were you mah?!"

Swe: "We were worried."

Lizwi: "Can we go sit down? We have to talk to you guys." we all move to the lounge and settle down. Xoli is literally stuck to my hip. Lizwi instructs Swe to call Fana and Sqalo after telling us that they were both home.

Lizwi: "I firstly would like to apologise for my actions these past few days. I know you guys noticed how I have been going around, bringing Mandisa here in this house. I also know that you all may have noticed how much your mom and I have been arguing and it has been about Mandisa all along. I really cannot go into deep details explaining everything but what you should know is that I will do everything and anything to prove how sorry I am. I'm really sorry to have made you guys feel ignored and unrecognised. I will also do everything in my power to show how sorry I am to your mother."

Sqalo: "I forgive you, dad but you really disappointed us."

Lizwi: "I know that."

Fana: "Mina, I just want to let you know how much I despised that day you introduced me to that woman. First of all, she lied to us and was living her life wherever. She never bothered to come back for 'the child' she birthed. She then comes back here trying to kill the woman who loved me unconditionally and became the mother she couldn't even be. You really angered me baba and it will take alot to forgive you."

Lizwi: "I understand."

Me: "I also have to tell y'all something." they keep quiet staring at me.

Lizwi: "It's okay baby."

Me: "A few weeks ago, I found out that I was pregnant. I had been pregnant for four months but unfortunately died." I say fiddling with my fingers.

Fana: "So we lost a sibling?!" I nod. I feel arms wrapping around me as I choke up a sob.
