I was currently in my room while on the phone with dad who was complaining about missing me. We were on video-call, talking.

Me: "Babah, I'm coming back soon."

Dad: "Nini sthandwa sababa wakho?! I haven't seen you in ages bakithi." He sulks making me giggle. This man hasn't seen me in like three weeks or a month.

Me: "I will come back babah."

Dad: "Please do, I'm tired of your moody sister." I cackle at the look on his face.

Mah: "Lizwi, I want ice cream!" I hear her shout in the background before dad starts moving.

Me: "Where are your grandkids?"

Dad: "Ay wena! I'm not even that old and wena usumemeza leyonto!" He exclaims making me laugh more.

Me: "Kodwa baba! The fact remains ukuthi your are a grandparent. You're about to have three grandchildren in total."

Dad: "Mxm! Bye-bye ngoba usuyaphapha!"

Me: "Hawu? Ok, Bye-bye."

Dad: "I love you yezwa? I will send you a little something later on." I nod excitedly.

Me: "I love you too baba." He hangs up. I decide to get up and make my bed. I get startled a bit when I see mom quietly standing by the door watching me with a smile on her face and a tear streaming down her cheek.

Me: "Mom?!"

Mom: "Hey baby. I'm sorry for startling you and eavesdropping but I couldn't help it."

Me: "mmhm?"

Mom: "It's so refreshing and nice to see how happy you are. You have been very happy and loght ever since you started bomdimg with your father and his family. They make you happy, it's so visible and I'm sorry again for ever keeping you." I smile hugging her.

Me: "I am happy mah."

Mom: "Okay be fast ke and come eat." She turns around to leave. I continue cleaning my bedroom.

Sibonelelo: "It's so good to see you Dali." I blush.

Me: "Likewise, Ndlwan'enhle." His lips immediately stretched into a big smile. His eyes look smaller when he smiles.

Sibonelelo: "Hawu! Waze wangibiza kamnandi kaMacingwane." I just smile. Aunty Google is very helpful sometimes hey?!

Me: "How old are you?" He smiles.

Sibonelelo: "How old do I look?!"

Me: "I don't know, 25?!" I say shrugging.

Sibo: "No, I'm 27."

Me: "Okay."  The waiter places our drinks in front of us and a snack platter.

Sibo: "Is there anything you don't eat lana, Dali?!"

Me: "Yes, tomatoes and olives." I respond watching him pop soke olives in his mouth.

Sibo: "Do they give you any allergy reactions?!"

Me: "Not really." He nods.

Sibo: "Can I order another starter for you?"

Me: "No, it's okay." We continue chatting until the waiter clears up the table and comes back with our refilled drinks and a sea-food platter this time.

Sibo: "I hope you are willing to try out some sea-food?" I nod hesitantly making him laugh at me.

Sibo: "Don't worry, I have ordered you something else incase you don't like the seafood." I nod again.

After our date, he drives me home. He parks three houses away, he switches off the car before turning to me with a smile.

Sibo: "I had a great day today."

Me: "Me too, thank you."

Sibo: "When can I see you again?"

Me: "Well I'm not sure when because I'm leaving for my father's house tomorrow."

Sibo: "Where does your father reside?"

Me: "Joburg." He nods stroking his chin. He gets out of the car to open my door. I thank him and get out of the car with his help. He then smiles a bit and plants a soft kiss on my cheek.

Sibo: "Usuyosala kahle ke ntokazi." I blush.

Me: "Nawe uhambe kahle." He hugs me before watching me walk down the street. Just as I approach the gate at home, I notice uncle Bongani's car parked in front of the gate. I walk closer and only then do i notice him and my mom kissing. I choose to ignore that and quickly continue walking inside.

Leago: "What did you bring for me?" Is the first thing he says as soon as I step into the living room.

Palesa: "Were you really out on a date sisi?" She asks excitedly. Aybo lezingane!

Me: "Aybo nina!"

Leago: "Anyways we're leaving tonight." I nod and go to my room. I immediately jump on my bed, a text from Junior comes through.

"Swe is in labor."

I immediately scream excitedly. Finally! My bedroom door opens abruptly and mom walks in looking alarmed.

Mom: "And then?"

Me: "Swe is about to give birth." I tell her excitedly.
