BONUS CHAPTER PART THREE

Penelope's POV

I wake up next to Azaiah who was tossing and turning. He was a very rough sleeper. Moves around constantly and kicks and smacks. "Mommy..." He says shaking me awake. "Am I dead?"

"No baby. You are alive and well." I chuckle. I pull him in kissing his head. "You are okay... but if you have a fall or an injury you have to tell us regardless of what your brother tells you."

"Now I will never get to play football with Riley and his friends." He says sighing.

"Oh you will. I promise." I smile at him. "Come on lets get you ready for the morning."

I get myself up and check my phone. I forgot to tell James that I was staying here last night. I see his missed calls as Azaiah ran off to the bathroom.

"Hey." I say as he answers my call. "Hey. You okay?" He asks. "How is Azaiah?"

"He is better. Were out of the hospital. Brought him back to Harrison's." I tell him.

"I was calling you I got worried." He sighs. "Sorry I fell asleep with Azaiah. I couldn't just leave him at Harrison." I tell him.

"You slept at Harrison's?" He asks.

"Yeah. I just said so..." I say

"And you went MIA the whole night. Thats fucking great." He sighs out loud.

"My kid is sick James? I slept in his bed." I say annoyed. James just did not understand sometimes that my kids came first. It was like as soon as we got married he switched over to he should be my priority...

"Whatever Penelope. I cant keep fucking doing this." He says hanging up. I put my phone down and walked over

I walk downstairs to the breakfast table with Azaiah. The rest were already down and ready in their school uniforms.

"Hey kids. Good morning." I say kissing their heads. "Youre in trouble." I tell Riley who just looks at Azaiah. "Atleast he is fine." Riley says throwing his arms up.

"No thanks to you big brother of the year." I say to him.

"You want coffee?" Harrison asks me and I nod. "Yes please."

"Mom I have football later.." Ruby says. "Can you put my hair in a ponytail?"

"Football?" Harrison asks. "You can't just say soccer? You know you're an American right? You are a New Yorker? Straight from the upper East Side."

"Yes. I know." Ruby laughs as her father tickles her after he hands me coffee. The two made me laugh.

"Having some serious flashbacks right now and I do not like it." Rachel says walking into the kitchen with the school bags. Harrison rolled his eyes at Rachel.

"Right." I say looking at her. "You feeling better?" I ask my youngest running my fingers through his hair. "Youre not going to school today. Just resting."

"Where is Ashley?" Harrison asks. "He is gonna be late for school."

"I thought he was 18... done with school?" Ruby asks making me horrified. Ashley being an adult freaked me out.

"No you still have to finish the school year and graduate?" I say getting up to go check on Ashley.

I knock the door and peep my head in to Ashley's room. I open the door wide when I see what was happening. Ashley was fast asleep and next to him was his girlfriend wrapped around him. Both covered by the sheets thankfully. Ellie forgot to sneak out I guess.
