Chapter 52

Penelope's POV

Leave it to Harrison to make life changing decisions without including me in it. Me going back to work meant he was more available. We had figured out a balance thats been working well. I have yet to even open the business up again and Harrison is talking about running the Young Enterprise. Maybe that would be fine if Harrison did not already run his own shit and some of the Young Enterprise already? He had businesses world wide. He owned a freaking sports team in England?

When things looked up for my family, it just came crashing down. I felt good then a worry sunk my stomach.

Money wasnt the problem and he damn well knew. He wasn't putting the kids and me first. I would never see Harrison if this happened. I cant let my kids be those kids who saw their parents a few minutes a day. I knew I'd have to give it up for them. I would put them first in a heart beat. Shame I cant say the same for Harrison.

"Can we put a pin in this?" Harrison asks me as he appeared by my side. "Nothing to put a pin in. You decided. Its done."

"I have not decided anything? I have told you what happened. My father is retiring they said they want me to take over."

"I dont want to do this right now." I tell him. "I have nothing to add to this conversation." I take a drink from the bar and smile at the man. "Thank you."

"Remind me not to tell you anything." He says to me. His eyes suddenly changed in annoyance almost. Annoyed at me?

"I wanna dance." Stassie says as she appears and I take my drink. "Wait let me take my heels off!" I say as I follow her over.

My eyes keep finding Harrison as I followed Stassie.

"You make the most beautiful bride." I tell her as I wrap my arms around her. "I love you so much."

"I love you too." I tell her. "Im gonna miss you whilst your away for two weeks."

"I know... I have a surprise for William. The second week Christopher is gonna join us." She says and I smile. "Thats so sweet."

"Right." She chuckles. "Cant believe Im a wife."

"Marital sex is very different." I tell her and she laughs.

The wedding wrapped up and after long goodbyes to Stassie and William, we finally went back to the hotel. I was drunk to where Harrison had to hold me. He guided me into the room and sat me down on the bed taking my heels off.

I felt lightheaded and so tired, I didnt even have speech left me in me as he took off my dress and laid me down. My eyes drooping, I fall asleep drunk and exhausted.

When I wake up, I feel the exhaustion, jet lag and hangover. Its been a crazy 48 hours and its all taken a toll on my body. I feel exhausted and tired even though I slept well.

I look at the time and see it was nearly the afternoon. I cant hear the kids or Harrison. I shower and get myself ready. We were supposed to leave this evening. Everything was packed and ready. I find myself my outfit to wear. It was black sweats and a white tanktop I tucked in. I put on my air forces after I pull my hair into a ponytail.

I felt much better after the shower. I head downstairs and see nobody was in the hotel suite. I unlock my phone and find a text message from Harrison in my notifications. "Went for ice cream with the kids."

I call him.

"Hey." Harrison says answering.

"Hey." I say. "When you guys coming back?"

"The jet is ready in about 2 hours, thought we would let you rest." He says. "Were just across the street from the hotel. The place has a play area the kids are playing in. Ashley is shooting basketballs."
