"I am not the kind of princess that needs saving. I'm probably not a princess at all. You can be the gallant prince all you want, that's fine. But, get the saving me part out of your head. I am not a damsel in distress, I am not a trapped girl. If I...

Waking up early this morning, I get up and take a quick shower before I get ready to head to the school. We don't have any actual classes today since they're preparing for yet another event there, but I have business to attend to.
Returning to my bedroom with a towel wrapped around my body and another around my hair, I hear my phone buzzing on my nightstand. Seeing it's Stefan calling, I take it off the charger and answer it.
"Hey, what's up?" I question as I wander over to my dresser to look for something to wear.
"Hey, um, don't be mad, but, uh, I was thinking of reaching out to Isobel." He tells me carefully.
I hum thoughtfully as I hold up a top, only to scrunch my nose and refold it to put it back in the drawer, "Depends on why you want to reach out to her." I reply languidly.
"Look, I can't just pretend like everything is okay." I hear him sigh on the other end.
"Nor would I expect you to." I hold up another shirt only to narrow my eyes and put it back.
"We still have this pressing little issue of you being Klaus' human sacrifice, and. . ."
"Stefan," I sigh as I return yet another shirt to my drawer, "my deal with Elijah makes things easier, but it doesn't mean that you should stop looking for other ways to cover our bases. The point of the deal is to work together, not have the one doing all the work. They may hold a lot of power and experience, but it doesn't mean things can't still be overlooked; that's what another set of eyes is for -- to help point out the inconsistencies and offer ways around them." I explain. "So, no, I'm not mad that you want to reach out to Isobel if you think there's something there she can offer as a way of helping the situation we're in. Do what you want, so long as it doesn't piss off Elijah and create a bigger mess. I'll see you later."
With that said, I hang up and toss the device onto my unmade bed before turning back to my dresser with a huff.
"Now, back to you." I murmur with the narrow of my eyes at the bundle of clothes.
