Zeru was surrounded by humanoid robots closing in on him from every direction.

He barely managed to dodge as they launched a coordinated attack.

Zeru's eyes narrowed.

He moved as he always did in training, but the robot was already gone. His strike cut through empty air.

Another was on him almost immediately, forcing him to react.

Zeru was still fighting in the training hall as the doctor finally managed to stop the bleeding.

Thomas stepped over to him.

"How's the arm, Orin?"

The doctor was pale from blood loss. His teeth clenched in pain.

"Please... help me up, sir."

Thomas grabbed his arm and helped him to his feet.

Together, they walked toward the shattered glass wall overlooking the lab floor where Zeru was fighting.

"Sir... these robots won't hold him for long."

As Orin spoke, Zeru's swords flared with blue flames. He stepped in and cut through the two closest robots, their bodies collapsing behind him.

"Sir... they won't be able to stop him much longer. What's the plan?"

Thomas glanced around the room and remained silent for a moment before helping the doctor sit down.

"Zeru isn't escaping while I'm here, secure all the data on the AC project and make sure nothing leaves this facility."

Thomas pulled off his suit jacket and let it drop to the side. He rolled up his sleeves, flexing his hands once before turning to the doctor.

"Doc, make sure the science team leaves nothing behind."

Orin looked up at him, his eyes narrowing slightly in uncertainty.

"What do you plan to do, sir?"

Thomas smirked, turned toward the broken glass wall in front of him, and said:

"I'll finish this up."

Thomas jumped down into the training hall, landing near where Zeru was fighting the humanoid robots.

As he landed, Zeru had already finished with the robots. Thomas turned and walked into the armory, a room lined with a variety of weapons.

He scanned the racks, picked up a katana, and returned to Zeru.

The two stood face to face in silence, tension hanging between them.

Thomas removed the sheath and dropped it to the ground before pointing the katana at Zeru.

Zeru stepped forward in response, raising his swords without hesitation, making it clear he wouldn't hold back.

Thomas let out a light laugh and took two steps forward.

"Zeru, stop. This doesn't need to end in blood."

Zeru raised an eyebrow, his grip tightening slightly on his swords.

"I need to get home right now. Move."

Thomas sighed, and his smile slowly disappeared. His expression turned cold.

"You know I can't let you out of my sight, especially now after everything with the AC project."

"I don't care about your project. Move, or I burn everything in my path."

"Zeru... you still don't understand what's going on."

Thomas swung his katana lightly through the air, as if measuring the distance between them, then continued speaking.
