New Year's celebration....👀

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I apologise for this not being posted ON new year's, I only received the request today so it is a little late. However, I'm sure you can ignore than and enjoy it regardless. Hope you enjoy :))

~CONTEXT~

Back in 2020, you and Austin met just before the start of lockdown; he had just bought a gym membership at your regular gym and had approached you while you were taking a break. He'd been watching you while the both of you worked out and was insanely attracted to you, so while you were taking a breather he took advantage of the opportunity and asked you on a date, to which you said yes.

The date was brilliant and you both had a great time, leading to you two exchanging phone numbers and keeping in regular contact with one another. Once the lockdown hit, you two were stuck with simply face timing one another, and while it sucked it meant there was more time to get to know each other. All day everyday you two were face timing, not one second passed where you weren't on the phone. You talked about anything and everything, laughing and sharing inside jokes, even flirting with one another. Eventually neither of you cared that it would be awhile before you could meet in person, you simply enjoyed the long phone calls and being apart of one another's daily routine. 

When the lockdown ended and restrictions were lifted, you two made plans to meet immediately as you were excited to finally have the chance. It was a Saturday morning when Austin pulled up to your house, and when you opened the door he didn't wait a second before he kissed you. And that's when your relationship began. On your very doorstep, the first time you met after lockdown ended. 

~CURRENT~

After a very busy Christmas, visiting both your family and Austin's, the two of you are very much enjoying the alone time at home. Spending most days snuggled up in bed under the covers, his arms around you while you both snack on chocolate and Christmas snacks as you watch movies one after another. Christmas was hectic and all over the place, filled with talking to so many family members and catching up with so many people you haven't seen in years or months, so it's safe to say the both of you were exhausted when you returned home. So taking the time to enjoy the comfort of home and the company of one another felt great, quickly relieving you of the stress Christmas had bought. You both love your families, but that doesn't make them any less chaotic. 

For the next few days after Christmas, that's how you two spent your days. Only really getting out of bed to use the bathroom, wash your face and brush your teeth in the morning/just before bed, shower and grab the mail. You both enjoyed it, snuggled up to one another and watching all your favourite movies together. Nothing better than it. 

New Year's eve is no different. It's 11:00pm, you and Austin are snuggled up in bed with the duvet draped over the both of you, arms entwined as you watch the TV screen - Bridgerton being the show of tonight. You only started watching it this morning so you're still on Season 1, but the both of you are enjoying it. Or so you think.

While you're watching the TV with deep interest, loving every second and practically sucked in by the plot, Austin's attention is elsewhere. You. His eyes rake over your facial features, admiring how beautiful you look as the glow of the TV screen graces your features. The play of emotions in your eyes as you watch the show, the batting of your eyelashes as you have to force yourself to blink due to being captivated by the TV, each and every thing about what you're doing has his full, undivided attention. He does this a lot, simply admiring and watching you while you are completely unaware, thinking about how lucky he is to have you and just how beautiful you truly are.
