UNO: The Last Stand
The final level. The ultimate test.
The moment the host speaks, a hush falls over the arena.
"We have 42 survivors who have made it this far, enduring every challenge thrown at them. But only those who conquer this level will move forward... and claim the stone."
A ripple of unease spreads through the crowd. The stone? I don't know much about it, only that it's the key to something far greater. But there's a catch—
"Any changes to you in this level will be permanent."
A shiver runs down my spine.
Wounds won't heal. Scars will remain.
The weight of those words settles in, suffocating.
"This is the level where the card you've been given throughout the game will determine your fate. With those cards, you will do one simple thing—"
The host pauses, letting the tension stretch to its breaking point.
"Play UNO."
A beat of silence. Then murmurs of confusion. A few nervous chuckles.
UNO? After all the bloodshed, terror, and survival... it all comes down to a card game?
But deep down, I know. This isn't just a game.
This is a battlefield disguised in color. A war played with numbers and strategy. And in this war, a single card can decide your life... or your death.
The moment the rules are announced, the arena erupts into murmurs and hushed conversations. My brain races, trying to process the madness.
Each person gets only ONE card? What kind of twisted UNO is this?
But then the real catch hits me like a punch to the gut—
You can only play if your card matches the color or number of the last card played. If not, you must either:
Take a card from the pile (but it costs money).
Borrow a card from someone (good luck with that)
Steal a card (no rules on how you do it).
Every player starts with gambling money (Manny).
Need a card? Pay up.
Run out of money? You're eliminated.
Money can also be used to buy resources or... anything necessary to survive.
Every day, new cards are distributed randomly.
You could get a lucky break.
You could get stuck with a useless card.
You could end up with a card that makes you a target.
And then the final nail in the coffin—Anyone can be a civilian or a mafia.
This isn't just a game of UNO.
This is gambling, deception, and survival all in one.
With 42 people on board and the stakes higher than ever, there's only one thing I know for sure—this game won't end without blood.
The arena goes silent as the rules of the last level are finally revealed, and the air grows thick with tension. My heart races with anxiety. This isn't just about playing cards anymore—this is a game of survival, deception, and danger.
The deck isn't the only thing stacked against us. The true battle is happening when the lights go out at night.
The Rules:
Mafiosos (6): Their mission is ruthless: under the cover of darkness, they hunt down civilians and eliminate them, one by one. Their goal? To collect all 4 power cards—and once they do, they win the game. The Mafiosos possess unique, deadly abilities, ranging from poisoning to assassination, all designed to cause chaos in the group. The civilians have no idea who they are, and they need to be eliminated before they can fulfill their mission.
Civilians (34): The rest of us. Just regular survivors, trying to avoid the brutal murders of the Mafiosos. We must stay alive, protect our power cards, and expose the Mafia, all while navigating the paranoia and suspicion in the air. Every morning, we vote to eliminate someone from the game—hoping it's a Mafia member, but unsure of who to trust. The stakes are high because once we're caught, there's no coming back. We're out
Special Roles:
Detective (1): The civilian's only hope. This person can investigate one player per round at night—a final attempt to unmask the Mafia. But their investigation is limited to only once per game, and if they're killed or exposed, the Mafia gets bonus points. The Detective is a key figure, but they're in grave danger, too.
Doctor (1): A shield for the civilians. The Doctor can protect one player per round, preventing them from being eliminated. However, there's a catch—the Doctor cannot protect themselves. If the Mafia targets the Doctor, they can't revive or save themselves. It's a high-risk, high-reward role.
The real game starts after the lights go out each night. While the civilians sleep, the Mafia wakes up to hunt, while the Doctor and Detective try to protect and investigate.
It's a battle of wits, strategy, and survival. The civilians must trust each other enough to expose the Mafia, while the Mafiosos will stop at nothing to make sure they remain in the shadows.
