Chapter Nineteen: You love me?
Oswald's POV:
I think I need my ears testing. Did Dacey just say she loved me? It's impossible she has to be lying. I must be hearing things. No. Who could love a man like me? A murderer like me? A man who was one of the many reasons that her mother left Gotham. But she doesn't need to know that. I looked down at her head that lay on my chest. My heart was beating faster than ever.
Her warm breath surrounded me in a pool of hope. What was following her was faith. Yes, I would admit that I changed her clothes and brushed her silky hair. But I never thought that she would actually love me. I'm a monster.
"What? What did you just say?" I asked her. She looked at me and then smiled sweetly at me and took her right hand and placed it on my cold cheek. The warmth lightened my spirits and as creepy as it sounds I craved her touch. Her warmth. Her everything.
"I said I love you." She said to me. Now I was dreaming. This was the second time that she had said something like this and it was scaring me. The beautiful flower in front of me wasn't one to love me. A creature that craves the dark. Someone who is different.
She should be with someone far better for her and someone who was popular and rich.
"Excuse me?" I asked again. She then laughed. She rubbed her finger against my cheek and fireworks exploded. My hairs on my neck rose and I was feeling nervous. Now don't get me wrong, I have had female contact before but nothing like this.
"Are you deaf? I Dacey Strike love you Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot." She told me again. This time she kissed my cheek lightly and pulled away seconds later. She then held my hand in her own and looked into my eye's. Had she been possessed? This was different. This was new.
"What?" I asked again. She shook her head again and giggled and then asked.
"Do you want me to pinch you?" I then nodded my head. She then took her forefinger and thumb and pinched my left arm. I gasped and then she laughed even harder.
"See Oswald. This is no dream." She informed me and then took my face in her hands and slammed her lips against mine. A pure lust of ecstasy surrounded my soul. I kissed back with as much passion as she had shown me and to tell you the truth she wasn't a bad kisser.
I then thought about something and regretfully pulled away. She looked offended and then sat back. She stared at me confused and then asked.
"What's wrong?" She asked me. I then looked at her and then replied.
"Why? I am a monster. A killer. Nobody can love me." I told her. She shook her head. My head lowered and then she pulled it up and made me look at her.
"Don't you dare tell yourself that. You are not a monster." I warned me. I took my head away from her and then she heard me mutter.
"But a killer never the less." I then saw her grin and she crawled over to me and sat on my lap. I held onto her waist to support her as she finally said the words.
"Who say's you are the only killer here?" There was something in her voice that made me want to roll up into a ball but at the same time, I was attracted to that voice. She was a murderer like me she had the same glint in her eye's. I then grabbed her face and dove in for another kiss. This was where we both belonged... In each other's arms. But this would never last forever...
