Chapter Forty-Seven: I want you not for your devil side
Phoneix's POV:
I walk down the hallways of Theo's apartment slowly swinging my arms to the side. I smile with my eyes closed and continue to waltz around the halls.
"Psst!" I hear. My eyes snap open and I look around. No one is in the room and I am still alone. I must be hearing things clearly. I shrug my shoulders looking around and continue to walk.
"Psst!" the same sound repeats. I stop in my steps and instantly freeze.
"Someone's playing games..." I sing darkly in a low toned voice.
"PSST!" I sigh and quickly grab my dagger out and throw it to where the sound echo's from. I hear a satisfying clink and I turn to see my dagger perched out of one of the many doors in the hallway. I walk slowly taking my steps softly toward the door and look at my blade protruding through the wood. I wrap my fingers around the handle of my blade and tug on it hearing a clean snap. I smile to myself and put the blade back safely in my belt alongside my revolver.
"Psst!" I groan hearing the same voice again. As I am about to turn around and give the person some of my mind I get dragged into a room. Hands latch around my waist and pull me into the room. The door closes as soon as I get yanked into the room. I struggle and flare my legs into the air and push back with all of my weight making the person let go of me. I bring my elbow back and jam it into the person's gut and twist giving the person an extra kick. I hear a moan in pain and grin turning around and grabbing the person by the neck.
"Oh for god sake, not you," I cry out staring into the person's dark brown eyes.
"Why you? Out of all of the people to drag me into a room, why did it have to be you!" I exclaim releasing the person from my hold. They scowl at me and readjust their collar.
"I wanted to tell you something," Tabitha tells me as she looks at me seriously. I shrug my shoulders and wave my hands in the air.
"Ya know, normal people just ask the people nicely not drag them into a room!" I state calmly before shouting at her. She sighs and does not look impressed with my small outburst.
"What the hell do you want, Tabby?" I ask folding my arms across my chest in a bored manner. Tabitha sighs again and rolls her eyes at my attitude.
"I needed to tell you something in private without anyone else knowing," she states starting to explain.
"Go on," I say ushering her to continue. My right wrist turns indicating for her the speak.
"It's about tomorrow night... I need you to swap positions with Barbara," she tells me. I raise my brow.
"What?" I ask.
"There is no way that I am swapping positions with bimbo Barbie on the main event of the Maniacs!" I exclaim angrily. Tabitha rolls her eyes again.
"Well there is only you and Jerome left, Aaron has left somewhere and everyone else is dead," Tabitha points out. I huff and shake my head like a small child.
"I'm not going to do it," I state and turn my back and look at the wall childishly.
"Please," Tabitha starts to beg. I smirk knowing that she wouldn't be doing this if there wasn't something planned.
"Why?" my short answer would later turn into a load of long complications and a list of people I wanted to kill.
"Because I am afraid that something bad may happen to you tomorrow-" I cut her off by turning back and glaring at her. I stalk toward her with darkness radiating my every move.
