Chapter Seventy-One: The shock of her life
Dacey's POV:
"Put the gun down," James demands in a slight panic as I tilt my head to the side mocking the Detective, smirking as I notice the surrounding silence of the entire station.
"James Gordon," I say tauntingly back as I smile at him sweetly.
"Dacey... please put the gun down... you don't need to do this," he asks as I scoff at his pathetic excuse.
"I don't need to do it, James... I want too," I hiss back as I keep my gun pressed against the man's temple.
"I know things between us haven't been great these past couple of days but you need to understand, I didn't mean to Dace, I couldn't help myself..." Jim begins to explain as I shake my head.
"Don't you dare say you couldn't help yourself!" I scream back at him, the veins darkening around my eyes.
"I watched it all happen! Every small fine detail. I watched you, James. I watched you take another life before my eyes again!.. and this time... justice will be served..." I say changing the direction of my revolver aiming it at Jim's head.
"Goodbye, James Gordon..."

One Week Earlier:
Dacey's POV:
I sit down at the bar swirling the golden bronze coloured drink in my hand, mesmerised by the way that the liquid in the glass could be considered to some as poison. My long black coat hood is up disguising my appearance.
"Hey! We're closed so get the hell out of here!" I hear a voice shout with sharpness.
I smirk still looking down at my drink as I gently place the glass down on the countertop.
"It's funny how memories come back, I told you last time I didn't remember who you were to me but I knew we had some sort of past," I say as I watch the liquor slightly ripple in the glass.
"I have no idea who you are," the same voice says as I feel my smirk widen as I close my eyes for a brief moment.
"Of course you don't, you always treated me as though I was a pawn in your sick game of chess. You held all of your pieces close to your heart and then you take out the pawns one by one," I reply as I pick the glass back up and sip on the liquid gently.
