Chapter Thirty Four: I'm not saving him

Dacey's POV:

I start to familiarize myself around the hospital and walk past many other patients in the ward.  I need to leave, I cannot be here. I jump down from the table I am currently sat at and then walk over to a closed curtain. Being nosy, I open the curtain and gasp at who I see.

"Tyler?" I ask, my voice laced with concern. He was in the hospital bed with his body wrapped in a white sheet. His blue hospital skirt hangs out above the covers and he has a black eye. I watch as his eyes slowly open and he stares back at me with his blue eyes. He smirks when seeing me and then sits up in the bed.

"Dacey Strike, now what would you being doing here baby?" He questions. I scoff in disgust, I have no interest in small talk. I don't say anything and go to leave but Tyler grabs my wrist and pulls me back. I let him pull me back as I don't want to hurt him like I hurt Jervis.

"What do you want Tyler?" I ask him back. He stares at me with a little hurt in his eyes. He shakes his head and then chuckles under his breath.

"You were shocked when you saw me in here... Why?" He says. I shake my head and don't faced him. As much as I hate to admit it, Tyler is still my friend, well I don't know anymore. How can I? After what he did to me, why should I show him any compassion?

"I didn't expect you to be in hospital." I state to him. I don't care, I can't do. I will never do. I can't...

"Well of course you didn't. For all you care, I could be dying. In fact I might be doing. Are you the Angel of Death?" He chuckles. I scowl at him and walk further towards him. I stand above him watching and grab his cheeks. I squeeze them and a small growl leaves my throat.

"I don't care, you want to know why?... Because you are nothing to me. You will never be anything to me. You used me for your own personal gain, Tyler. I do not appreciate that... At all..." I hiss at him. He smirks as I let go of him. I watch as the violet blue radiates off of my skin. He peers down and smiles at what he sees.

"Now, what have you got there?" He questions looking down at my arms. I clutch my arm and shake my head. I do not need Tyler to find out what I am. I take a step back still staring at him.

"Why are you in here?" I ask him trying to change the subject. He shakes his head and chuckles before replying back with a smug look on his face.

"You're a monster.... A failed lab experiment." He smirks whilst sitting up in the bed. He then throws the sheets to the bottom of the bed and climbs out of bed. He walks towards me and takes my arms in his hands. He rubs his thumb over my veins in my arms and stares down at them.

"They did something to you didn't they? Hollister hurt you!" He exclaims. I stare at him in the eyes and I start to get angry.

"Hollister? Did you just say Hollister?..." I hiss with annoyance. Why has he mentioned Brendan?

"Yeah my boss... what about him?" He asks back innocently. I growl and slam him back against the railing of his bed. He stares deep into my eyes and a gasp escapes his lips.

"I'm having déjà vu all over again." I state. Tyler continues to stare deep into my eyes with fright. He gulps and tries to push me away but fails miserably.

"You know why I hate people like you Tyler, do you?... It's because you are lying, deceitful bastards. You work for the man who tried to kill me. The man who lied to me. The man who FAKED his own death in front of me just to win me back. The man who is so arrogant and so pushy that he decides to inject me with some 'super serum' which can kill people with one touch!" I shout. Tyler starts to scream in pain. His body falls limp as he stares up at me. He lifts his hand up shakily and gasps out.

"You're eyes!" I look across in the mirror above the hospital bed and see that my eyes are a bright electric blue. I gasp and let go of Tyler. I hear a thump as his body crashes down to the floor as he hits his head on the bed railing. I stumble backwards and look down at Tyler's limp body. His face is slowly turning a pale violet colour and veins are popping out of his face.

"Dacey what happened here?" Dr Wesker runs into the room and looks down at Tyler. He checks his pulse and then quickly takes out a syringe. He goes the stab me with it but I jump back.

"Oh no no no. I am not saving this ass's life!" I say as I stand up. He gives me a "you have got to be kidding me" look and sighs. I fold my arms like a baby and shake my head.

"Do you know what this man has done to me? He basically fed information back to a man who wants to kill me... how is keeping him alive a good idea?" I question Ricky. He sighs again and stands up. He walks over to me and stands directly in front of me.

"Listen Dacey, I know Mr Sole isn't a... gentlemen but he deserves a second chance at life." Ricky tries. I shake my head again but this time look down at Tyler. A small pan of guilt lights up in my stomach. I take the syringe from Ricky and stab it into my arm and eject some of my blood into the glass casing.

I kneel down and inject Tyler and slowly watch the life return back to his body. Tyler shakes, jolts up and gasps for air. He looks around and then he looks straight at me.

"YOU!"
