Chapter Forty-Three: Pretty Little Psycho
2 Months in the Future:
Jim's POV:
"The Killer Queen has struck again Jim," Lee says to me as she shows me the body of the man on the table. I look at the man, he's around six foot and has short blonde hair. He has been stabbed in the gut and his skin is a violet colour.
"He was poisoned the same way as the last victims, the poison was administered into the body from the stab wound," I nod my head and turn back to the victim. These murders happened around a month ago and so far we haven't found any connections to who the Killer Queen is, the only reason we know the name of our killer is because we were sent a message from the killer themselves.
"Has there been any connection to the victims that you can think of?" I question her. Lee sighs and shakes her head and walks away to look at the others autopsies.
"Apart from that they are all men, no," she states and continues to scan down the list.
"Wait! Look!" She calls me over and I look at the reports and notice one key thing about all of the victims.
"They all had a tattoo of a mockingbird..."
Present Time:
Dacey's POV:
"I'm going to kill you, Greenwood!" I shout as I push Greenwood so he is hanging off the Gotham Gazette building. His back is still on the roof but his head and shoulders are dangling in the air. He growls at me as I scowl at him.
"Go on then Princess, do it!" he hisses at me. I growl myself and push him further off of the ledge.
"I'm not a Princess, Greenwood, I'm a Queen," I state. You're probably wondering how it got to this stage, well it's simple, Greenwood pissed me off, big time.
"Ha! A Queen? Oh, Princess, you will never be a Queen, you'll only be an insane little orphan that nobody loves," he tells me chuckling. I push him further off of the building. My anger is slowly rising.
"Oh Greenwood, you just keep pushing, don't you? Just one more little push and you're over this building and splat you will go," I hiss at him bearing my teeth. He chuckles, daring me to do it.
"Dollface maybe not do that," I hear Jerome behind me. Arron sends another man from the docks over the edge of the building and they go falling through the air. I growl and let go of Greenwood. He immediately pulls himself back up and I notice that he looks startled.
"You're not always going to have protection Greenwood, and when that time comes, I'll shoot you dead," I threaten and walk away and sit on the edge of the building with my elbow on my knee and my chin resting on my hand.
"Ya know, I think you would make an excellent Queen," I look over my shoulder and see Jerome standing beside me. He jumps and sits next to me and pulls me into him, I don't move or react, I just sit looking out into the distance.
"I was once someone in this city, I was the daughter of a mob boss and my fiancé was the best. But then everything changed," I say staring at down at the city.
"My fiancé was a psychopath, whilst I was then turned into his little monster, the sociopath that felt nothing. I was what he wanted me to be, his creation, his masterpiece, and his end," I say and close my eyes, letting the wind hit my face.
"That's how I ended up like this, he did this to me. I could've been normal. I could've had a family and a husband who loved me unconditionally. But he ruined that, he ruined everything for me, now I have nothing..." I take in a shaky breath. Jerome doesn't say anything as he just sits and listens.
