Part Three: Chapter Fifty-Three~ The dead don't stay dead:
Ten Months Later: After Dacey's death...
Third Person's POV:
"Is the machine nearly ready?" a rather tall man with dark black hair asked his associate. The shorter stubbier looking man ran towards the giant machine placed behind the two and looked at the middle dial. The large hand was ticking towards the green third of the dial which signaled that the machine was ready to put to use.
"Yes, just a few more moments waiting and then we can use the machine," the stubbier man exclaims rubbing his large hands together excitedly.
"Brilliant!" the taller man shouts and looks in wonder at the machine that they had both created from memory. The taller man walked over to the main table that lay in the warehouse and on top of the metal table lay something under a white cloth.
"Soon, we'll be able to bring back the fallen," the taller man says and pulls back the white cloth. When the white cloth is slowly dragged away both men stare in awe. The stubbier man with dark brown hair with slight highlights of grey grinned in amazement as he looks at the sight before him.
"Wow! I've got to say, she was a stunner," he comments staring down at the body which lay still. The taller man rolls his eyes and shakes his head at his "friend" and looks back down at the body with a small smile on his face.
"She is a stunner," the taller man says slightly glaring at his male friend.
The object of both men's desire was a young woman just over the age of twenty. She had dark black hair and full red lips. She was a slim woman with plenty of curves and her pale skin glowed under the strong harsh lights. The woman's body is connected to the machine via some wires and she is also connected to a heart monitor which stands beside the bed.
"Do you think that it'll work this time?" the stubbier man asks out of the blue staring down at the woman.
"Of course I do! It has to. If we bring back the other and they find out that we failed to bring her back to life... well, we'd be dead," the taller man states grimly. He brushes his hand down the girls stone cold face and sighs.
"Besides, Dr. Strange made some adjustments to this one just before Indian Hill collapsed. It'll work for sure," he states. His eyes linger on the woman for just a second longer until the sound of the machine awakens them both from their daydreams.
"It's ready," the stubbier man says. The taller man walks over to the machine and looks at the dial. He turns his head quickly and glances down at the woman. With a small smile on his face, he turns back to the stubbier man.
"Let there be light!" the taller man shouts as he pulls down the lever beside him. Shots of electricity and electrical currents spark out of the machine and the body on the table starts to jolt. The taller man begins to laugh like a maniac and watches as the electrical currents shoot and fly into the woman's body making her jump up from the charge. Her body begins to shake rapidly as more and more electricity flies into her heart.
"Turn the machine down a notch! We wouldn't want to fry or melt her brain!" the taller man orders. The stubbier man complies and nods his head whilst altering a few buttons on the machine and looking down at the woman with anticipation.
"Come on.... come on...." the taller man mumbles as he continues to watch the woman jerk around on the table.
Seconds later, the machine starts to beep again. An alarm sounds throughout the whole building and bounces off the walls in small sound waves.
