Chapter Two- We meet again
Dacey's POV:
I slowly walk up my stairs looking at the mirrors and the phots that are perched on the wall by nails. Each photo either consisted of my mother and another Gang Leader or of me and my mom when I was younger as there were no new photos to update the old ones.
Many wouldn't believe that Fish Mooney would be a suitable parent as she was one of the Gang Leaders in Gotham. She was known for putting a woman's touch on the crime in Gotham but she made sure that she was just as much of a threat as any of the others. However, my mother somehow managed to stay out of the limelight and hid from police involvement.
As I came to the top of the staircase, three doors were presented in front of me, each holding a deep shade of wood that gleamed as the interior lights bounced off of the varnish coating them.
I walk towards the door closest to me and push it open gently whilst twisting the metal doorknob. The door creaked slightly which indicated that it hadn't been opened for a while as a fresh aroma of vanilla filled my nostrils.
I close my eyes taking in the sent allowing it to comfort me as I walk into my old room.
The interior consisted of cream coloured walls with a brown back wall from which a double bed with cream and brown sheets stood. A large bookcase stood in the corner of the room with dozens of old and classic novels standing proudly in alphabetical order with each shelf consisting of a different genre. Two bedside tables sat beside the bed and each with their own small lamp standing alone in the centre illuminating the room. Different pictures of art were placed on the walls and a standing mirror stood beside the large window that looked out onto the city.
I walk slowly to the bedside table that is the closest to the window and pick up the photo frame which contained a photo of myself and my father. I looked at it and saw the girl in the photo smiling back at me, almost taunting me. A small tear manages to slowly swim its way down my cheek as I do nothing to stop it falling.
Things were difficult with my father. I used to get on with him pretty well but the last time I saw him was the same day that I left this city to live a new life. I left this city to escape everything that I had found out about my past, I wanted to escape and live a new life where I would be happy and no one from my old life would ruin that... It didn't last long or I wouldn't be back here in this miserable city.
Sighing I place the photo back on the bedside table and fall back onto my bed. I close my eyes as soon as my head hit the pillows and my body falls into a deep slumber.

"Miss Dacey? Miss Dacey are you awake?" a voice calls out as I feel my body twitch at the unknown presence in my room.
"Miss Dacey?" the voice says my name again and I groan turning over ignoring the voice. That is until a hand places itself on my shoulder.
My body instantly reacts and I send a closed fist at whoever dared to lay their hands on my vulnerable state.
Smack!
...
...
...
"Jesus Christ!" the voice shouts out as my eyes snap open and fall to the figure who was now clutching his nose in pain, a small trickle of blood running down his fingers.
"Oh shit!" I exclaim as I immediately jump to my feet and rush to grab the tissue box from across the room.
I pull out a handful of tissues and run towards the person I had just injured and removed their hand from their face and place the tissue on either side of their nose and squeeze lightly.
