Chapter Forty-Four: I did not wake up craving Ginger Crunchies!
"She fell, she crashed, she broke, she cried, she crawled, she hurt, she surrendered, and then... she rose again."
Tyler's POV:
"She is even more reckless than before, Sir," I inform Brendan looking at the footage of Dacey walking around Gotham streets. I had managed to spot her on one of the cameras, she is walking proudly as I replay the tape I saw earlier. Her hair is swaying from side to side and she is wearing high heeled black boots. I notice her glance up at the camera and smirk at it, her eyes glinting evilly. She walks around a corner and upon there, I notice that a man walks past. He stops and stares at her and says something. This makes her stop in her tracks. When she halts, I watch as Brendan watches her closely, studying her every move.
She turns on her heel slowly and looks over at the man and walks towards him slowly, almost stalking him. She flicks her hair over her shoulder and smiles sweetly at the man standing centimeters away from him. Her sweet demeanor changes drastically as she shoves the man up against a wall and pulls out her revolver. She aims it at his head and just stares at the shaking man. She chuckles and brings her arm back and hits the man on the side of the face with her gun and watches as he falls to the floor unconscious. Dacey kneels down beside him and brushes her hand gently across his cheek, and his face turns from pale, and bloody from the impact of the gun, to instantly violet. Dacey stands back up and brushes herself off before leaving the man on the floor.
I turn to look at Brendan who has a smile on his face. He chuckles and freezes the screen looking at the image of Dacey kneeling beside the man. He zooms into the picture and that's when I notice her fingertips are violet.
"She poisoned him," I state in horror. I stare at Brendan and he has a deranged look on his face. He clasps his gloved hands together and grins.
"I think it's time, my little monster knew I was still alive," he announces chuckling whilst staring at the image of Dacey.
Phoenix's POV:
I enter Theo's place again and smirk as I enter the main living space. Everyone apart from Barbara and Tabitha is sat around a table. I walk towards the boys and stand behind both Jerome and Cole. Jerome looks up and smirks when he sees me, but Cole doesn't even look at me. I shrug it off and smile at Jerome whilst tilting my head to the side.
"Let's stoop a little younger," Greenwood cackles. I raise my brow at him and turn back to Jerome. I give him a questioning look and he grins at me.
"We're going on another mission, Dollface," he informs me, my face immediately widens and my eyes brighten.
"What mission?" I ask enthusiastically. Greenwood scowls at me and I smile sweetly back at him. Jerome turns to me and laughs.
"We're going to blow up a bus and make a BBQ!" I giggle and smile.
This is going to be fun...
*****
"I bet the cheerleaders was your idea, Greenwood, you just want some meat that isn't expired, you want it nice and fresh," I mock whilst sat on Jerome's lap. Greenwood growls and glares at me with hatred.
"I suggest you shut it, Princess, before I cook you," he threatens. I feel my eyes darken at his nickname for me. I visibly tense and I feel Jerome's grip on me tighten. Greenwood's mock starts to turn into fear as I lean over towards him and say quietly.
"You're on very thin ice, very, one slip and you'll drown," I say darkly. Greenwood gulps and my eyes change back and I giggle resting my head on Jerome's chest, leaning back.
