(A/N: I didn't want to write the whole episode, so I'm just writing the last two scenes. Also, something special is coming in the next chapter. Also, please read my new story, Work Song.)

Kenzie continued to dread Visualize, especially when they had to work on a case together. So, she was very relieved when the case was over. Her brain was practically on autopilot.

She and Patrick were standing in the lobby, talking to Brother Cooper.

"Goodbye, Mackenzie, Mr. Jane," he said. Kenzie ignored the chill that ran up her spine. "I hope you won't be insulted when I say that I hope I won't be seeing you again."

"Oh, we won't be," said Kenzie.

"I'm sure Mr. Haffner would say thank you if he were here."

"Where is he? It's not like him to leave without one last barbed compliment."

"Oh, he had some business to attend to. I am not his only client." Patrick hummed. "I was hoping your office could be discreet. You know what I mean."

Kenzie rolled her eyes. The elevator bell dinged, and Brother Cooper entered. Patrick stopped the doors from closing with his foot.

"Yes. Speaking... of discreet, it was stupid of you to try and bug the CBI," said Patrick.

"What are you talking about?"

"Hiring someone outside Visualize might have made you feel safe, but she admitted that you hired her. Agent Cho told me."

Brother Cooper sighed. "I don't know what you're talking about. But, all I can say is that if someone did bug you, it wasn't me." He turned to Kenzie. "Goodbye, Mackenzie."

With wide eyes, Patrick pulled out a small microphone and rushed into the bullpen. Kenzie followed after him.

"Patrick, what's wrong?" she asked.

"Grace needs to trace this immediately."

"Why? What's going on?"

"Cooper wasn't lying. He didn't bug the CBI."

"Well, who did?" she asked, wanting him to confirm her answer.

"Red John." Shit. "We need to find Kira Tinsley. She either works for Red John, or she's about to become his next victim."

🙂

Kenzie practically drove like a bat out of hell on the road while she kept glancing at the GPS in her car. Patrick sat next to her in the passenger seat, and Teresa's in the backseat. The two of them were listening to a phone call from Kenzie's phone while Rigsby was calling from Patrick's phone.

"She's in the north section of the city, boss," said Rigsby. "No answer on her cell, and the landline's busy."

"Yeah, we know."

"Yeah, you say 9 to 6, and then you never even show up," said Kira from her landline.

"Almost got it," Grace muttered.

"No. I paid my cleaning lady to stay here all day to let the guy in, and then he never came."

"Okay. 1065 Oak Terrace."

Kenzie's foot pushed on the gas pedal. "We're on Douglas, headed toward Folsom."

They heard the doorbell ring in the background. "I'm g-yeah, hold on a second. Somebody's here."

Kenzie flipped the siren button while pressing down on the gas pedal.

"I need SAC PD to 1065 Oak Terrace as fast as they can."

"Okay, I'm coming!"

"Okay, you're about ten minutes away. We'll direct you."

"Could you drive faster?" Patrick asked.

"I'm driving as fast as I can!"

"Boss, you're gonna want to take the next left..." Kenzie jerks the wheel. "And then a right on El Camino."

Kenzie could hear the blood pumping to and from her heart. How it rushed throughout her body.

"Got a patrol car six blocks away," said Teresa.

It died down just as soon as the phone hung up. Still, Kenzie didn't slow down. All three of them got out of the car and rushed into the house.

Patrick kneeled down to a dying Kira, pressing his hands against the wound. Kenzie froze. "We're CBI. Who did this to you?" Kira continued to gasp and choke on her own blood. "Tell me."

Kira weakly leaned up, whispering something into Patrick's ear. She drew three dots in a column on her shoulder. She slumped back to the ground.

As police rushed in, Kenzie grabbed Patrick's hand and guided him outside.

"What did she say?" Kenzie asked shakingly.

"She told me Red John has a tattoo on his left shoulder. Three dots. That's our leverage. We got him."

A Few Weeks Later...

Kenzie slammed her car door closed. She sighed in fear and anger as she looked up at Evelyn's house. The team stood behind her.

A police officer walked up to them. "Officer," she muttered.

"Agent Patterson, we were told to call your team about this," said the officer. "We've found at least eight bodies in different places around the property."

"Do you know the ages?"

"All of them seem to be in their teens. All female."

Kenzie's eyes glanced around the gravesite before her eyes grew wide with realization. Patrick seemed to notice this, telling the cop to walk away.

"Kenzie?" Grace quietly called out.

"They were her patients. She groomed her patients and then killed them."

Her heartbeat started to pick up. Her breathing became uneven. Without a warning, she walked over to a nearby tree, resting against the trunk. Patrick followed after her. He held her face between his hands.

"Kenzie, you gotta take some deep breaths, okay?"

She nodded before breathing in and out. Every breath became less shakier and shakier. After a couple of minutes, her breathing went back to normal. She rested her head against Patrick's chest, gripping him tightly.

"Red John's the only reason I'm alive," she whispered. "How long do you think they've worked with each other?"

"I don't know," he replied. "But we'll figure out. Just like we always do." He stroked the back of her head. "We'll find her."

🙂

"In recent news, eight bodies have been found outside of a psychologist's residence. According to the California Bureau of Investigation, Dr. Evelyn Micheals has been on the run after the kidnapping of her former patient and CBI's own, Agent Mackenzie Patterson.

"Patterson's father, Dennis Patterson, was the victim of an unsolved murder back in the 80s. The CBI thinks that Dr. Micheals is connected to the infamous serial killer, Red John. Any information on both of them, please call the local authorities or the crime stoppers headline."
