Alex and I both woke up at the same time. I looked over at the clock and it was just after midnight. I sat up, and put my legs over the edge of the bed. It felt so good to breathe again. I felt Alex get off the bed, but I didn't turn to look at him. Instead, I got up and took one of the pillows from the bed.

Taylor was laying on the floor at the foot of the bed. I put the pillow under his head, and got a blanket that wasn't bloody. I also turned the took the remote away, and turned the TV off.

"You wanna get in the shower first?" Alex asked. He was already in the bathroom, just poking his head out.

"No, go ahead," I said. He closed the door, and I heard the shower start. I changed my shirt, grabbed the room key, and then went to Zack's room. I had to knock on the door multiple times until we actually answered.

"Hayley? What the fuck, it's the middle of the night," Zack said as he answered the door. He let me go inside, and then locked the door after me.

"Actually, I think we should go back to my room," I said. I folded my arms over my chest.

"Yeah, and I think I should go back to sleep. What do you want?" He asked. He leaned against the wall, and rubbed his hands over his face. I realized I shouldn't have woke him.

"I just wanted to know what you had planned for tomorrow, or today," I asked quietly. I looked down at my feet instead of at him. I'd made a mistake waking him up in the middle of the night.

"I'll come over to your room in the morning, okay?" He said. He was quieter and kinder that time. I think he realized I didn't mean to wake him.

"Okay. Sorry about waking you," I said, and started towards the door. He told me it was okay, and then opened the door for me. I went back to my room, and unlocked the door. I locked all the locks back up, and then went to the bathroom.

"Hayley?" Alex asked as I leaned against the sink.

"Yeah, it's me," I said. I sighed, and turned around. I wiped away the fog on the mirror, and went up on my tip-toes. I turned to the side, and lifted my shirt. I ran my hand down my side. "It's such a weird feeling."

"What is?" Alex asked. He peeked his head out from the shower curtain. I looked at him in the mirror, and there was shampoo all over his blue hair. It was probably going to bleed all over everything.

"Knowing that there should be something here, but there's not," I said, running my fingers along my side again.

"I hate to tell you, but after nineteen years I'm still not used to it." He closed the curtain again, and went back in the water. "So much blood. That's another thing I'll never get used to."

"Did you stain the shower?"

"Maybe..."

After he finished his shower, I got in. After washing a lot of blood off my body, and from the shower, I got back out. Alex had taken off all the bloody blankets and pillows. I laid down on the stripped bed, and closed my eyes. It wasn't long until I was asleep again.

I woke up to knocking on the door. I couldn't figure out who it could be. I lifted my head, and reached next to me. Alex was there, which meant he wasn't getting up. The person knocked again.

I got up, and walked around. I almost ran over Taylor, who was starting to wake up too. I unlocked all the locks, and opened the door. Zack was standing there with a smile on his face. I stared at him with tired eyes.

"Doesn't feel good, does it?" Zack said. He was enjoying this too much.

"What time is it?" I asked in response. He laughed, and walked in. I closed the door behind him, and locked it up again. I sat down on the bed, right by Alex. I turned slightly, and rubbed Alex's back. "Alex, it's nine already."

He groaned in response, and hit me with a pillow. I scoffed and stood up. I dragged his ass out of the bed and onto the floor. He hit is head, and a soft "ow" escaped his lips. I stuck my hand out to help him stand, and he took it.

"I'm sorry, but we have to get moving," I said. He ignored me and went to the bathroom. "Are you going down to the gym with Zack?" I yelled through the bathroom door. He still didn't answer.

I sighed and sat back on the bed. Taylor was waking up below, and Zack hadn't realized someone else was here. He ran over, and watched Taylor.

"Zack, that's Taylor. Taylor, this is Zack," I introduced. I wanted to go back to sleep, but not until I figured out what was going on today. Alex came out of the bathroom, and laid down on the bed.

"We leave for the airport in half an hour," Alex said. I looked over and he was rubbing his eyes with his fingertips.

"What about me?" Zack asked. Alex sat up and rolled his eyes.

"You're going home. And before you ask Taylor, you are too. Don't say anything about what you did to Jeremy. The people that kidnapped you shot him, not you," Alex said. His tone was cold. There was something wrong, I just didn't know what.

We all packed up, and checked out. We took two taxis; Alex and I in one, and Zack and Taylor in the other. I leaned my head against the window, and tried to sleep again.

Alex bought two plane tickets to Los Angeles, one to Baltimore, and one to Nashville. We all went to different gates aside from Alex and I. Taylor had to wait a couple hours, but we only had to wait about half an hour.

So Alex and I got on the plane, and then we were on our way to Los Angeles. And I didn't even know why.
