Alex was in Reims. He had sent some guys to Europe to search for Hayley months ago. They'd found her, but she was fighting back. She'd killed at least four of them. Since they'd found her before, Alex figured they could find her again. Those guys also didn't know that Tay had regained control. Which made everything easer for Alex.

He pounded his fist against the door, and stood impatiently. He could hear people shuffling around the room. It was supper time, but Alex couldn't control what time the plane landed.

The door opened, and the leader of the group stood in the doorway. A smile crept onto his face as he processed who was standing in front of him. "Alex?" He asked, and hugged him.

"Hey, Vic," Alex greeted. They were both genuinely happy to see each other. But Vic knew that Alex being there wasn't a good sign. Vic let him in, and Alex went into the kitchen. He walked past all the guys sitting around the TV. They didn't seem like such a big group anymore.

Alex grabbed a beer, and started back out to the living room. "So how many have you lost?" He asked. Vic sighed as he sat down next to his brother.

"Hayley has been just as prepared as we have," Vic started. Alex shook his head.

"I know that. I need you to answer my question."

"Five, half of the original group," Vic said quietly. The other guys in the room pretended that the conversation wasn't going on. Alex groaned.

"I had her. Rian and I got her, and brought her back to America. But I was stupid, and left her alone, and now I don't know where she is."

"Damn, that's rough," Vic sighed. One of the guys stood up, and walked over to Alex.

"I can find her again. It won't take long either," the guy said. Alex was a bit suspicious of the kid.

"How? And what's your name?"

"Cody Carson, and I have my ways," he smirked. Alex smiled back. He knew he was on his way to getting Hayley back again.

Alex gave Cody the name of his brother, and Vic offered Hayley's fake name. Cody put it all, and started searching. "Does she have a phone or do you know her number?" Cody asked as he looked through the different filters.

"Yeah I gave her my old flip phone to call Tom, but it's not traceable," Alex said. Cody muttered a laugh.

"We'll see about that," he said. Alex gave him the number, and Cody added it in. "Wait, call the number."

"And say what?"

"Say you wanna make a peace agreement, but it has to be in person. Tom won't let her go alone, and then you've got both of them."

"That's fucking genius," Alex said as he took his phone out of his pocket. "And can you trace it? Like as long as we have the connection?"

"Yeah but the conversation has to last longer than a minute," Cody said while rolling his eyes. He couldn't imagine a conversation lasting very long between the two. Or they would fight the whole time and he wouldn't be able to concentrate.

Alex bit his lip and stared at the keypad on his phone. He put in the numbers, and glanced at Cody before pushing send. He put it on speaker, and then stared at Cody as he listened to the ringing.

"Hayley! I need to talk to you!" Alex said as soon as she answered. He had to make sure she stayed on the phone. He could hear a man's voice in the background telling her to hang up. He assumed that was Tom, although he wasn't expecting a British accent.

"What do you want Alex? And make it quick," she said with a sigh. Alex looked over at Cody's computer screen. Cody was definitely searching, but Alex didn't understand anything on the screen.

"I think we should make amends."

"Okay, well you should start apologizing."

Alex paused, not believing he had anything to apologize for. He knew he had to say something or she'd hang up. "Uh, I'm sorry for kidnapping you," he muttered.

"And?"

"And bringing you to America." He glanced at the screen, hoping to have their location.

"And?"

"What else did I do?" Hayley scoffed as she saw this to be the biggest thing.

"You left me for seven years. I didn't know where you were or what was going on," she said. Hearing her voice that way was almost heartbreaking for him. But then he heard Tom's voice in the background, and snapped out of it.

"It's was to protect you. And it worked," Alex said. His tone was icy. She may not have known the dangers of staying with Tay, but he did. And he risked it all to get her out. "You have no idea what I've had to go through while you were over in London fucking my brother!"

"I've got it!" Cody exclaimed. Alex tried to finish up yelling at Hayley, but Vic took his phone from him and hung up on her. "Let's go. We've gotta get on a train."

Five hours later and the three of them were walking into Tom's apartment building. Cody had the apartment number written on his hand, and Vic and Alex followed behind him. As they came to his door, they all pulled out their guns. Cody knocked, and the other two made sure they weren't visible in the peephole. Cody had his hands behind his back, and smiled at the door. It slowly opened, and Cody managed to get his foot in the door.

Cody pushed the door open, and Alex and Vic rushed in too. Vic shut the door, and locked all the locks. "No one's getting out," Vic said. Cody went right for Hayley, knowing that Alex would be too weak to deal with her. He shoved his gun in her face with a smirk. Alex didn't move, so Vic ran over and cornered Tom.

"If you try anything, you will be shot," Alex said confidently. Hayley looked over to Tom, and Cody pushed her head back with the side of his gun.

"Don't shoot him," she blurted out. Tom looked over at her now. His eyes were wide and he was terrified. He thought that she was going to reveal his biggest secret. "You can do whatever to me, but don't hurt him. He didn't do anything."

Alex looked at Tom with his mouth wide open. Hayley was saying the same stuff that Alex had once said to protect her. He was starting to realize that she really had moved on. He had gotten distracted, and he came back to reality after hearing a gunshot. He gasped and looked at Tom, but Tom was screaming and looking at Hayley. It was like everything was moving in slow motion. Vic was holding Tom against the wall as he tried to break free and get to Hayley. He was screaming so much that Alex couldn't even think of what to do.

Cody had shot Hayley, and she fell on the floor. As Alex's brain returned to him, he rushed over to Cody and Hayley. Alex kneeled next to Hayley as she gasped for air. Cody was glancing over at Tom, and Alex looked up at him.

"Don't fucking shoot anyone else," Alex yelled at him. He held Hayley's hand as he watched her struggle to breathe. It had been years since she'd been in a situation like this. She had forgotten how hard it was every time.

"Let me see her!" Tom yelled. Vic still had him pinned against the wall, which was pretty impressive considering how hard Tom was fighting.

"Chill out," Alex yelled, and glanced over at Tom. Hayley took her last breath, and Alex closed her eyes. "We all know that she will be back at midnight, so fucking chill out."

The room was quiet after his outburst. Alex stood up, and looked between Tom and Cody. Cody stepped towards Tom with his gun out again. Tom pushed himself against the wall. He knew that if these guys killed him, he wouldn't be coming back at midnight. Cody raised his gun up to Tom's head as he got closer. Vic moved out of the way slightly.

"No!" Alex yelled. Cody turned around with his gun lowered. "I said not to shoot anyone else. You two carry Hayley and figure out how to get her to a hotel or something."

The two boys carried Hayley between them. Alex stayed behind, and stared at Tom. They did look a lot alike. Alex couldn't believe his parents had hid this big of a secret from him.

"So you're Tom," Alex said. Alex looked him up and down again. They could've been twins.

"And you're the bloody devil," Tom spat back. Neither was sure how this was gonna go down. Alex wanted to have a sibling bonding session, but Tom just wanted to get back to Hayley. "Well, let's get going now."
