A/N: This is completely unedited. I wrote the entire thing Sunday night, and then went to bed. So yeah, if it sucks more than usual that's why.
"That girl is really dead," Tom said. He was following Alex to the room Hayley was in. He was struggling to keep up with Alex, even though he was a little taller than him.
"No, she's not," Alex said. He turned quickly, and stopped in front of a door. Tom ran into him slightly, not realizing the room was so close. He put his hands up as he ran into Alex from the side.
"You mean she's like you and Hayley?" Tom questioned. Alex nodded as he put the key inside the lock on the door. He pushed on the door, but it didn't open.
"And you. This damn door..." Alex complained as he threw himself against the door. He put the key in again, and turned it.
"Right, uh, how are there so many of... us all in one place?"
"Well, big bro, when a man and woman love each other very much- Got it!" Alex finally got the door unlocked, and threw it open. Tom passed Alex, and ran inside the room.
Hayley was sat in a chair with her head tilted to the side slightly. Her mouth was open a little bit, and her eyes were closed. Tom lifted her arm and looked at the tube going into it.
"What is this? Why is she asleep?" Tom asked as he turned around to look at Alex. Alex was leaning in the doorway looking at Hayley's sleeping face. Alex tore his eyes away from Hayley to look at Tom.
"To keep her under control. It's the same treatment Tay's on. They can sleep for years because they just come back if they die," Alex explained. Tom looked back down at Hayley's arm. "No, no, no!"
Tom ripped the tube out. The needle on the end hit the floor as Tom dropped it. Alex rushed over and pushed him out of the way. "What the hell?" Alex growled. He positioned himself in front of Hayley. She was going to wake up soon, and he needed to be what she saw when she did.
"It's not right to have her locked in here, and unconscious. What were you thinking, Alex?" Tom yelled back. Alex turned around, and started towards Tom. Tom backed up as Alex got closer. He thought he could handle Alex, but now that he was angry, he wasn't sure he could.
"I was trying to protect her. Dammit, Tom!" Alex yelled. He put his hands on his head, and turned around again. He ran his hands through his hair and looked back at Hayley. Her eyes were starting to open. Alex sighed, and ran his hands over his face.
"Alex?" Hayley mumbled. Alex couldn't believe that she said his name. He went over to her side, and took her hand. "What's going on? I feel like shit."
"It was just this detox thing," Alex said, giving her a smile. Tom rolled his eyes and stepped closer to her.
"That's complete bullshit," Tom spoke up. Hayley looked up at him with confusion all over her face.
"Who are you? You look... and sound familiar, but I don't know you," Hayley told him. Tom's jaw dropped and he turned to Alex. Alex couldn't help but smirk back at him. He knew what he was doing.
"What the hell did you do," Tom said. His voice was calm, but there was a hint of panic.
"Alex, who is he?" She asked. She pulled him a little closer to her.
"This is my secret brother, Thomas."
"And we've been dating for four years," Tom added. Alex rolled his eyes. To him, that was irrelevant information.
"Four years? What is going on?" Hayley asked. She looked to Alex to give her answers, but she wasn't sure who to trust in this situation.
"He's lying," Alex said. "He's trying to get you to join him. He wants to kill me, Hayley."
"No, he's lying. Our parents sent you to Europe, and you were there for seven years-"
"Seven years? I'm only eighteen!" Hayley yelled. Her grip went tighter around Alex's hand.
"No, you're twenty-five. We dated for four years, you moved to France and left me in London. I was going to propose to you in Paris, but Alex kidnapped you... twice," Tom said quickly. Hayley thought about what he was saying. It didn't make any sense in her mind--none of those memories were there. "Please, Hayles, you know my biggest secrets."
"That's enough," Alex said as he reached into his pocket. He pulled out his gun and aimed it at Tom. He had to rip his hand away from Hayley's to hold the gun. Tom put his hands up in defense.
"What are you doing?" Tom asked. Hayley looked at Tom and tried to remember. She felt like she should know him. Alex readjusted his hands around the gun, and stared Tom down.
"Relax, you'll come back tomorrow anyway," Alex said. It clicked in Hayley's mind then. She met Tom's eyes, and he saw it too.
"No, Alex, put the gun down," Hayley said. She stood up, and her legs wobbled. Alex lowered the gun, and reached out to help her. Tom also started over to catch her. She tried to sit back down, but her eyes rolled back in her head. She fell back in the seat, and she was shaking.
"What's going on? What's wrong with her?" Alex asked in a panicked voice. Tom tried to pick up her upper half, and instructed Alex to pick up her lower half.
"She's having a seizure. Get her on the floor," Tom said. They got her laying on the floor, and they both sat and tried to calm her down. She eventually stopped, but didn't wake up. The boys looked at each other, and were unsure of what to do next.
"She still has a pulse," Alex reported. So he hit the button for a nurse to come in. They got Hayley to a real room on a real bed. She was going to be monitored throughout the rest of the night. But the hard part was getting Tom and Alex to leave the room and give her some space.
