Alex's Point of View
After doing a lot of research and spending some time with my family, I flew back to Austin. I took a cab from the airport back to the hotel. As I walking into the hotel lobby, my phone vibrated. I took it out of my pocket, and Hayley's name was across the screen.
I read the text, and it didn't make any sense. Then the wheels started turning in my head. I hit a couple buttons, waited a couple minutes, and then got the location of her phone. I ran out of the lobby, and went to my car. I searched for my keys, and then unlocked it and got in.
Where ever she was, she was in Austin. The city was huge, but I was speeding. I had to get there as fast as possible.
When I got there, it looked like a hospital. I parked the car, turned it off, and then searched in my bag again. I got out of the car, and walked up to the door. I pulled on the handle, but it didn't move. I pushed, but it still didn't move.
I went back to the car, started it, and drove around. I lined the car up with the door, and then floored the gas. I closed my eyes as the car hit the glass doors. After the sounds had settled, I opened one eye. After seeing I was inside, I opened both eyes. I took my hands off the wheel, and got out. People were running towards me, but I stumbled away.
I started running down the hall. I had to find where Hayley was. This place looked huge, though, and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find her in time. I pulled my phone out of my pocket to see if it was still tracking. It said that I was basically on top of her. I looked around, and found a room with the door locked and the blinds shut.
I looked around some more and found a fire alarm. I ran over, and pulled it. The alarms were sounding, and lights were flashing. I ran back to the room, and found Hayley. She was in the room alone, her head leaning against her shoulder.
"Hayley!" I yelled. I ran over to her, and tried to get her to wake up. Her eyes opened a little bit, and she mumbled something. I noticed the bag in the back, filled with blood. I took Hayley's arm, and tried to get the needle out without hurting her.
I looked through the supplies in the room, and found a band aid. I put it over the small hole in her arm, and then took my backpack off. I took out a water bottle, and helped her drink it. She needed a lot more than water, but it'd have to wait.
"Alex?" She mumbled. I took the bag filled of her blood, and sealed it up. I threw it in my backpack, and then helped her stand.
"We need to get out of here," I said. She wobbled as she stood, but I helped support her. I put my arm around her back, and then we started walking.
"Wait! Jeremy and Taylor are here," she said. She pointed out where Taylor was, and we went into his room. Hayley sat on the floor as I worked on Taylor. He was beat up all over the place. I took Hayley's blood out of my backpack, and gave some of it to Taylor.
While I waited for Taylor to heal up, I ran across to the break room. I grabbed some juice and cookies for the two of them. They needed to be able to run. I came back, and handed them both the snacks. I took my gun out of my back pocket, and shot at the ceiling lights. I needed to make sure no one came back in.
"Where's Jeremy?" I asked the two of them. They looked at each other, and shrugged.
"This place is really big. We couldn't even guess," Taylor said. I groaned, and bit my lip. There had to be a way to find him. I sat next to Hayley, and looked at her side.
"Who did this?" I asked. She shrugged again, and took another drink of the juice. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Shocked that you're here, but fine."
"You're shocked that I'm here? If I wasn't panicking right now, I'd be full on making out with you right now." She laughed, and started eating the cookie. I helped both Taylor and Hayley to their feet, and then we came up with a plan.
"You guys gotta run. Get out of here, get past the crowd, and get a cab. I crashed the car through the front doors, so that's not gonna work. Just get in a cab, get somewhere safe. Remember, someone will probably be following you. Just, please get safe. I'm gonna find Jeremy and then meet you," I said.
"Meet where? We don't have our phones," Hayley said. I sighed and tried to think of something. I was too scatter-brained for this right now.
"I don't know. Call me later from a pay phone. I don't care," I said. I opened the door for them, and they ran. I shot at the lights again, and then watched them for a little while to make sure they were doing okay. I could tell Hayley was in pain, but I couldn't do anything.
I started searching around frantically. I had to find Jeremy otherwise Hayley would hate me. I looked around, but I just couldn't find anything except for the empty hospital. He just wasn't there.
So I left. I got a cab, and drove around until I got a call from Hayley. I didn't tell her on the phone that I couldn't find Jeremy. That was something you saved for in-person.
I felt guilty, and I had the cab driver go back. I started to feel light-headed, so I put my hands up to my head. I tried to get myself back to normal. When I brought my hands down, there was blood. I was starting to realize that I shouldn't have drove a car through a building.
Someone was coming out of a back door, so I slipped in before it closed. I was in a different part of the building. It definitely wasn't the hospital. I hid my gun in my jacket as I ran through the halls. I looked in every window I passed.
I managed to find Jeremy. He was passed out, so I had to carry him. He was as heavy as he looked. I got him out to the cab without having to shoot anyone. Hayley called during the ride to let us know where they ended up. We just had to get there.
