Wonyoung’s laughter echoed softly through the suite as Yujin pressed her gently against the door, his hands sliding around her waist as he leaned in, brushing his nose against hers.
“Still laughing?” he murmured, eyes glinting. “Let’s see if you’re still giggling when I’m through with you.”
“I just might,” she teased, lips barely touching his.
Yujin let out a low chuckle before capturing her mouth in a slow kiss—warm and teasing, his thumbs brushing her ribs through the soft fabric of her white satin nightgown. He deepened the kiss, one hand rising to cradle the back of her head while the other remained firm on her waist.
“You’re my wife now,” he whispered against her lips. “And I’ve waited long enough.”
Without warning, he swept her off her feet, cradling her bridal-style as she gasped and giggled, arms flinging around his neck.
“Yujin!” she squealed, “Put me down—!”
“Oh, I will,” he smirked. “Right where you belong.”
He carried her across the room to the bed and laid her down with exaggerated care. Hovering above her, he dipped down again, their lips brushing—
Knock knock.
“...Mummy?”
They froze.
Wonyoung’s eyes widened. Yujin didn’t move, his forehead dropping against her shoulder in slow disbelief.
“...You’ve got to be kidding me,” he whispered.
Another soft knock.
“Can I sleep with you and Daddy? Please?”
Yujin exhaled like a man whose dreams had been ripped away by a four-year-old.
Wonyoung covered her mouth, shaking with laughter. “He called me ‘Mummy,’” she whispered.
Yujin looked up, grinning in spite of himself. “He’s been doing that all day. He’s completely yours now.”
“Yujin,” she said gently, “let him in.”
“I know,” he groaned, already rising from the bed. “My son has no mercy.”
Yujin opened the door to find Haerin standing in his little dino pajamas, bunny plushie in one hand, eyes droopy and face worried.
“I had a bad dream,” he mumbled. “Can I sleep with you and Mummy?”
Yujin knelt down and pulled him into a hug. “Of course, bud. Come on.”
He brought Haerin over and gently helped him crawl between the pillows. The little boy curled immediately into Wonyoung’s side, wrapping a tiny arm around her.
Wonyoung kissed his temple, brushing his hair back. “I love you, baby.”
“I love you too, Mummy.”
Yujin climbed into bed on the other side, flopping onto his back with an exaggerated sigh. “So much for our wedding night…”
Wonyoung gave him a knowing smile. “I think it’s perfect.”
He glanced over at her—and even with her hair messy and her nightgown slightly wrinkled, she looked ethereal.
His wife.
1:00 AM
The moonlight filtered in through the windows, casting silver threads over the three bodies in bed. The room was quiet, filled only with the sound of soft breathing.
