Yujin lounged on the couch, one arm wrapped lazily around Wonyoung, who had curled up against his chest, her head resting just under his chin. The living room smelled faintly of Wonyoung’s shampoo, the scent comforting and familiar, and Yujin’s eyes softened slightly as he looked down at her. He’d always been protective of her, but today, he felt extra smug, knowing she was completely his, at least in this moment.
“Hyung! Hyung!” a small, excited voice shouted. Yujin glanced down to see his little brother, An Lee Hong, bouncing on the edge of the couch, his small fists clenched like he was ready to tackle something. “Unnie! Unnie come play with me! Hyung is hugging her all the time!”
Wonyoung laughed softly, glancing at him. “Lee Hong, you’re too dramatic. You’re acting like I’m going to disappear if I don’t hug you.”
Lee Hong’s bottom lip trembled, and he stomped his tiny foot. “No! Unnie only hug me! Not hyung! I want hug too! Hyung always hug unnie! I’m not fair!”
Yujin lifted an eyebrow, smirking down at his little brother. “Oh really, little man? You want a hug, huh? You want me to hug you instead?”
Lee Hong’s eyes brightened, and he nodded vigorously. “Yes! Yes! Hug me! I wanna hug unnie too!”
Before he could even move, Yujin leaned down and wrapped Wonyoung tighter into his arms, pulling her slightly back toward him. “Sorry, Lee Hong,” he said with a teasing glint in his eyes. “She’s mine, remember?”
Lee Hong gasped, small hands flailing, and a whine escaped him. “Hyung! You meanie! That’s not fair! I love unnie too! I want her more!”
Wonyoung laughed, leaning up to kiss the top of Lee Hong’s head softly. “Lee Hong, I love you too. You know that. But hyung is being silly.”
Yujin chuckled lowly, his lips brushing Wonyoung’s temple before he whispered, “See, little man? I’m just showing you how it’s done.”
Lee Hong’s face scrunched up in frustration, a dramatic sniff escaping him. “I don’t care! I don’t like it! I’m gonna cry!”
“Cry all you want, kiddo,” Yujin said, reaching down to ruffle his hair. “But if you’re crying, you gotta let me hug unnie first.”
“Noooooo!” Lee Hong squealed, stamping his foot again, but Wonyoung’s soft laugh and Yujin’s teasing glare made him freeze for a moment. Then, as if hatching a plan, he shouted, “Hyung! I’m gonna hug unnie super tight so you can’t touch her! You can’t! I’ll hug her forever!”
Wonyoung giggled, letting herself be enveloped by the tiny whirlwind that was Lee Hong. “Okay, okay! That’s enough, you little troublemaker,” she said, hugging him back as he wrapped his little arms around her tightly.
Yujin watched them, arms still around Wonyoung, a grin spreading across his face. Then, suddenly, he leaned in and pulled Wonyoung just a little closer to him, so Lee Hong’s little frame got slightly squished in between. “Careful, little man,” he teased, voice low and playful. “She’s heavy, huh?”
Lee Hong’s eyes widened in mock horror, and his bottom lip trembled. “Hyung! You’re so mean! I’m gonna… gonna… cry even more!”
The living room door creaked open, and Yujin and Wonyoung’s parents had quietly stepped in from the kitchen, watching the chaos unfold. They had been talking over something trivial, but their attention had drifted entirely toward the scene. Yujin’s mom shook her head with a chuckle, her eyes warm as they settled on the trio. “Look at him… and them. Lee Hong is completely wrapped around them.”
Yujin’s dad smiled softly. “Your little brother has no idea what he’s started. And you, Yujin, teasing him like that isn’t helping.”
From the corner of her eye, Wonyoung caught her parents’ smiles and glanced at Yujin. He had a mischievous glint in his eye, clearly enjoying every second of Lee Hong’s dramatic antics.
