The late afternoon sun hung low above the parking lot of the supermarket, casting long golden shadows across rows of cars. The air was warm, filled with the distant sound of shopping carts rattling and people chatting as they headed home after a long day.

Ahn Yujin’s wife, Jang Wonyoung, stepped out of the supermarket with two grocery bags in her hands while her four-year-old son, Arthus, walked beside her holding a small snack she had bought him.

Arthus looked up at her happily, his tiny fingers wrapped around her sleeve.

“Mama, can we eat ice cream later?” he asked in his soft little voice.

Wonyoung smiled gently and adjusted the grocery bag on her arm.

“Maybe after dinner, baby.”

Arthus nodded happily, bouncing slightly as he walked beside her. The boy was cheerful, carefree, completely unaware of how quickly the peaceful moment would shatter.

They reached their car parked near the edge of the lot.

Wonyoung unlocked the door and opened the back seat first so she could place the groceries inside before buckling Arthus in.

Just as she placed one bag down, a sharp voice suddenly cut through the air.

“Excuse me!”

Wonyoung turned around.

A police officer in uniform was walking toward her with a stern expression.

The man stopped in front of her car and crossed his arms.

“You can’t park here,” he said coldly.

Wonyoung blinked, confused. She glanced behind her at the parking lines.

“My car is inside the line,” she said calmly. “This is a parking spot.”

The officer scoffed and stepped closer.

“You blocked the side lane.”

Wonyoung frowned slightly.

“That’s impossible. I parked properly.”

But the man didn’t care about her explanation.

Without warning, he suddenly grabbed her wrist.

“Hey—!”

Before Wonyoung could react, he twisted her arm and forced both of her hands behind her back.

Arthus’s eyes widened immediately.

The little boy froze beside the car door.

“Mama?”

His voice trembled.

Wonyoung’s body stiffened from the sudden force.

“What are you doing?!” she shouted, struggling slightly. “Let go!”

The officer’s grip tightened as he pushed her toward the car.

“Procedure,” he said lazily.

But his hands were far from professional.

Instead of simply restraining her wrists, his hands began moving unnecessarily across her back and sides.

His fingers brushed along her waist.

Then her hip.

Wonyoung’s eyes flashed with anger.

“Stop touching me!” she snapped. “If I did something wrong you can issue a ticket! There’s no reason to touch me like this!”
