The car slowly entered the Jang family's driveway.
The familiar house came into view.
The same house where Wonyoung grew up.
The same house where she ran to whenever she needed comfort.
The same house where Yujin had always been welcomed like family.
Mr. Jang turned off the engine.
For a moment...
Neither of them moved.
The garage became completely silent.
Yujin stared at the house through the windshield.
His hand rested on his lap, the bandage clearly visible.
He knew she was here.
Just a few walls away.
Wonyoung.
His wife.
The person he missed more than he wanted to admit.
The person he had hurt.
His fingers slowly tightened.
A part of him wanted to immediately go inside.
To see her.
To apologise.
To hold her.
But another part of him stopped.
What if she didn't want to see him?
What if she was still angry?
What if his presence only made her feel worse?
Mr. Jang noticed.
He didn't need Yujin to explain.
The hesitation was written all over his face.
"You don't have to force yourself."
Yujin looked at him.
Mr. Jang spoke calmly.
"It's okay."
"She's probably inside her room."
Yujin lowered his eyes.
"I know."
His voice was quiet.
"I just..."
He paused.
"I don't know if she wants to see me."
Mr. Jang nodded.
"That fear is normal."
Yujin looked at the house again.
"I disappointed her."
"She asked for space."
"I don't want to make her feel like I don't respect that."
Mr. Jang was silent for a moment.
Then he said,
"Yujin."
The younger man looked at him.
"Respecting her space doesn't mean disappearing."
"You can give her time while still letting her know you're here."
Yujin stayed quiet.
"Right now, both of you are hurt."
"Don't make decisions based only on fear."
Mr. Jang smiled slightly.
"You spent years running away from your problems whenever they became too heavy."
