"And I was thinking, what if I had like a huuuuge Christmas tree in my room for the holidays? Then again it probably wouldn't fit because of the queen sized mattress taking up all the space in my room." Ning yaps.

beside her was the girl she was yapping to, or moreover, her friend that was supposed to listen to her yap.

But Minjeong is scrolling through her phone while they're both walking in silence.

"Wow you're not even paying attention to me."

"My bad, I was just.. looking at the class's schedule." Minjeong glanced over at the girl.

"Stop lying, I see you swiping through those pics of Karina in her two piece."

Ning sighs. "She's so lucky to have such rich parents. Then she gets to go on long vacays like right now."

"pft, whatever." The short haired girl rolled her eyes.

She hasn't seen the girl in a few weeks now. She's been on her vacation. Something that she and her family does towards the end of the school year.

Except Minjeong didn't know that a few weeks had gone by pretty fast.

"herro?" A voice crept up behind her ear.

She flinches as she turns to look behind her, and that startled look on her face turns into this unamused gaze.

"You're back from Barcelona already?"

"Yeah. What, ya miss me? Hm?" Karina grabbed the girl by the waist.

"hah—please, I was hoping you'd be there longer so I wouldn't have to see your face."

"Oh but I'd text and call you alllll day and night if I was there even longer!" Karina snickered.

"You know how much I love late night calls, especially with you, Minjeongie."

The tippy top of Minjeong's ears were uncontrollably twitching to Karina's whisper, her throat feeling hot.

"ugh, get away from me!" She pushed the girl off of her, speeding down the pavement away from Karina.

"You know, I always wonder what Karina has ever done wrong to make you hate her this much."

"You already know Ning." Minjeong exhaled.

"Come on Min, that was way back when!"

"And it took a toll on my future!"

"If she weren't to tell the damn teacher, I wouldn't have to be held back a grade,"

"But if you weren't to cheat then you wouldn't have to be held back. Technically you were kind of asking for it Unnie."

Ning was right, Minjeong just couldn't help it.
