Bedroom

You and Elijah are whispering in bed as the first light of morning creeps in. The other Islanders are still asleep. We must be the first ones awake.

He whispers so as not to wake the others. "Today should be an interesting day." You nod, murmuring back in a hushed voice, "Yeah..."

"Feels like the others are starting to think about life after the Villa already." Elijah shifts onto his side to face you. You can see his smile even in the low light. "What's the first thing you'll do when you get back home?"

Your mouth falls open in mock shock. "You think I'm going home soon?"

He grins, shaking his head. "No, I think you and I could win, actually."

You stare at him blankly. "How would that work? We won't be coupled up."

He blinks, then recovers quickly. "Um... But we all have to leave the Villa one way or another, right?"

"...Ooh. Sounds like the setup to a good horror film. 'Summer. Ends. Now.'" You smirked.

He chuckles softly. "Good thing we're in a romantic comedy."

Elijah wants to know the first thing I'll do when I get home from the Villa. "Catch up with my mates. I can't wait to see my friends and tell them all about the Villa."

He grins. "Make sure you include the highlights."

"And those are?" You tilt your head.

He smirks. "I'd say I'm a big highlight. Wouldn't you?"

You giggled softly. "You're certainly confident!"

[Ibrahim and Shannon's bed] Shannon shifted slightly on her pillow, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's the recoupling tonight. I wonder what's going to happen."

Beside her, Ibrahim stared up at the ceiling, his hands folded across his chest. After a beat, he said quietly, "Well, there's an uneven number of girls, so..."
