Iain Stirling:

Previously, on Love Island...

The Islanders were reunited with a friendly face.

Henrik: Do you reckon I've changed a lot since you last saw me?

And another not-so-new face...

Hannah: Hi, Lottie.

Get your brollies out, people, because storm Hannah has hit the Villa!

Dressing room

Hannah hums as she styles her hair. The two of you are alone. Across the room, you paused rummaging through your cubbies, flicking your eyes sideways to take in her reflection. Hannah's settled right back in here as if she never left. I wonder if she realises the impact she's had. She's not letting on if she has. Hannah's settled right back in here as if she never left.

"Oh!" Hannah gasped suddenly, a sharp, almost theatrical intake of breath that made you jump a little.

You raise an eyebrow. "Something wrong?"

She claimed, "I thought I saw a spider."

You glanced down at the floor. A spider? You thought as you braced yourself for a predictable shriek, a squeal, or the sight of her scrambling onto a chair in a panic.

You try to catch it. Hannah beats you to it. She gets on her hands and knees, crawls under the chair and re-emerges with her hands cupped. "It's just a house spider," she says calmly, standing up.

You blinked, caught completely off guard. Some of the girls' reactions to an insect here have been shrieking or running away. "You're not afraid of them?"

"I used to be. But I got over it." Hannah shrugs. "I'm gonna put her outside. Wanna name her?"

Her question took you by surprise. A pause. I guess we could name it. Hmm... Satan. Spidey McSpiderface. Leggy. Todd. "What about Leggy?"

Hannah giggled "That's so original. And super descriptive." She smiled. "I love it. Farewell, Leggy." She carries Leggy out to the roof terrace.

I guess I should get changed. That was why I came in here in the first place, you reminded yourself. You looked over a few choices, searching for an outfit that would scream, 'Wish your GF was hot like me.'

Kitchen

"Obviously, it's a worry," Gary admitted, brewing his tea. "Henrik's a great lad. And he liked her before when he was here.'

"I'd be a bit nervy for sure," Bobby replied, leaning against the counter. "He's a cool dude."

Gary ran a frustrated hand through his hair, the gesture betraying his stress. "Fuck. I'm trying to play it cool, man." He shrugged, trying to shake the subject off. "What was everybody up to while I was gone?"
