“I'm on my way.”

Ty'Mee's head perked up when she heard the familiar voice of her pack-member through the mind-link.
“Awesome, I had heard that Vae'Lee sent the alert.”

“Vae'Lee?”

“Yea, sorry I gave her a Wos'Theian name. Does she need medical assistance?”

“Yes, she is injured and has blood loss but I don't have her.”

Ty'Mee blinked and frowned, that made no sense, why would he come back without her if she needed help. “Does someone else have her?”

“By now, yes. I have someone else, I don't know if it is her daughter or some other family relation. But she is quite sick.”

Ty'Mee blinked in surprise. That was unexpected. Vae'Lee had never mentioned any daughter or young child in her family. She indicated that was an only child. Nonetheless, she turned her Theta gears on. “Alright, what's going on?”

“I might mess this up but something about her kidneys going bad and there being a bunch of toxins. Ke- er Vae'Lee mentioned that she needed something… die-less something."

“Got it.” Ty'Mee did not know what this “die-less” was but she already had a good idea what she was dealing with. She went to the supply closet to look for gadgets she would need. “What's your ETA?”

“Twenty minutes tops.”

Ty'Mee nodded even though she knew her pack-member could not see that. Ty'Mee grabbed some cloths as a thought entered her mind. “Alpha M’est’r won't be happy with this new human addition.”

I'm aware,  as soon as I drop her off I will be going straight to him. He and I will be having a discussion.”

Setting everything she had gathered on a table she nibbled her lip. Interesting… this pack member already had decided that he was vouching for the little human. Ty'Mee found it strange since he and Alpha M’est’r were like-minded in many ways. It seemed rational, since it was a girl, to send her to servitude, as soon as one could. Human slaves were highly valuable and great bargains for peace treatys.

“If anyone can change the mind of  Alpha M’est’r, you can. Thank you.”

There was no response and the mind-link closed.

Ty'Mee thought about her own reasoning for wanting the little girl to stay with them. She had none other than Vae'Lee deemed it important to bring her. Now, as for why Vae'Lee was important to her… of all the humans that Ty'Mee worked with, the thing that made Vae'Lee different was that Ty'Mee had grown an attachment, a friendship with her. It was hard not to when she was the bulk of the interaction she had for nine months straight. The Etas at the door were completely useless when it came to juicy gossip.

Ty'Mee inspected the IV needle, since the child was probably small she probably should get a different gauge then what she used on Vae'Lee.

Ty'Mee called her Iota (Pack doctor), and some Omegas that had worked with her before and had some working knowledge of the medical hall. She explained to them what was happening and what she expected of them. By the time that large black wolf could be seen in the distance they were all on standby.

The black wolf rushed up the steps, hardly breathless after the quick and hasty back and forth trip. Ty'Mee reached for the little girl that clung to his back. Already she could smell the sickness that riddled her blood. It was a type of sickness she had never really smelt before, but it still provided her with more information about what she was dealing with. When the child was in her arms she turned to her Iota, “Get ready to do a CBC and a CMP.” The Iota nodded, ready to get the tubes. “I also want to know what her specific blood urea nitrogen is.”
