“You will stay here. I have another area I can rest for the night.”

Relief allowed me to breathe more evenly. My gaze looked about the room. The bedroom was large with twelve foot ceiling with four tall windows, two on two sides. The bed was situated between two windows. The quilted blanket was different shades of brown with a single matching pillow. Two nightstands on each side held lamps. Between myself and the bed was a large grizzly hide. A desk sat on the other side of the room with a plethora of books stacked here and there. There were more books stacked on the floor. On the wall with no windows there were two doors. I only assumed one was a closet and the other the master bath.

“I believe Wey’Don put some of your stuff by the bed so make yourself at home.”

I looked at the little box that stood out from everything else before turning to Ty'Bin. “May I see Lins? I would like to know where she is in case she calls for me or something.”

“Of course.”

We went back through the door and into the dark room. No light was turned on so I used the light from the bedroom to follow Ty'Bin. This room looked like a large sitting room or a living room. I could detect a form of a couch and some recliners as well as a coffee table. On the other side of the room were a few other doors. Ty'Bin slowly opened the one nearest to us and I peeked inside. The moon glow from the window allowed me to see a bed with two frames in it, fast asleep.

If that bed was Duo’Lae's, she had an awfully big bed for herself.

We retraced our steps back into the bedroom, Ty'Bin never reentered, however,  he stopped at the door frame, pointing to a door on the windowless wall. “Bathroom is there, like I said, make yourself comfortable… is there anything you need?”

I shook my head. “No, thank you.”

He gave me a half grin before nodding, “I will be in this room here, if you need anything.”

I nibbled my lip sheepishly until he said goodnight and closed the door. When he departed, a sense of worry fell over me. Being in a large strange place all by myself, in part I wanted to have Lins sleep with me rather than Duo’Lae.

Slowly, I moved across the room and picked up my small box of personal stuff. I carried it to the bathroom and made sure to lock the door behind me. I trusted Ty'Bin, I just did not trust anyone else in this building.

I took the hospital gown out of the bag and quickly dressed. After brushing my teeth I made my way to the bed. This was so surreal. It seemed that I could just blink and I would be back in my quarters in the basement.

Careful not to disrupt the neat bed too much, I slid in. Upon laying my head on the pillow I found myself encased in smells that were deeply comforting.

It just seemed so surreal, Ty'Bin and I are now mated. I rolled my shoulder and found the area there to still be very tender. If I put a thought to it I could still apperceive tingles underneath my dermis. A memory came into mind, the day I first met this he-wolf. It was not the night of the first full moon. It was the day of my sentencing. When he walked across the room in his black garb.

It was astounding how things happened, how it all… worked out.

Suddenly, feeling relaxed and at ease, sleep pulled at the strings of my awareness. I offered no fight and succumbed to the drowsiness.

Sunlight flickered on my face. I smiled at the warmth. I turned my face into my pillow and inhaled the wonderfully soothing scent.
