Death

There was no doubt about it. This human was inadvertently at the wrong place at the wrong time. Be it because she was cursed or plain unlucky, it led to her demise. Whether her heart was still beating at the moment or not Hem’Lar was uncertain. He was a few minutes from finding out if she still lived as he made his way past the gate of the MoonDust Pack wall. An Omega in the red jumpsuit was leading the way, rightfully so as Hem’Lar had never been this far into the territory before. Into the heart of Vir’Keyia.

Hem’Lar glanced at the sky to take a guess at the time. If he had to figure, he would say that the sun had set roughly four hours ago. About the same time, Theta Mee made it to the area. The rotation of the stars told him that the night was deep.

Once Hem’Lar had crossed the borderline, he could send out a mind link to the Theta, relaying the message from Alpha M’est’r.

When he received confirmation that his message had been acquired, he turned around and headed straight back to Vir’Keyia.

When he arrived he was tasked to join Próta Epsilon Ty’Bin in his investigation to find out what caused the unprecedented attack on the human.

Thinking back on it… Hem’Lar had to scoff, it seemed ridiculous how Kek'Eeta just fell into a bad spot. The Alpha’s daughter, Por’Lyn blabbed without much resistance… wailing like a newborn pup saying something to the extent that the female human threatened her, and so she merely was defending herself.

Like that was believable, Por’Lyn was a head taller than the human and unarguably stronger. So, for this pampered teenager to feel endangered by a skill-less female was preposterous.

Hem’Lar was grateful for Epsilon Ty’Bin's expertise in weeding out the lies. In the end, Omega Mes'Mu cleared up the story for them, which was backed up by a scattered few omegas.
On day one or two -depending on the perspective-  Kek'Eeta stumbled upon the body of a dead wolf-blood. Omega Mes'Mu discovered Por’Lyn's scent all over the remains and proceeded to cover Por’Lyn's tracks prior to notifying the Etas.  She used this as a bargain for blackmail, trying to use Por’Lyn as a means to give her a promotion to the packhouse. The loose string was that human, who seemed to have a handle of what was going on but her lack of individuality kept her from doing much. Eventually,  another omega caught wind of things. Omega Mes'Mu admitted they framed him before he could expose them.

In the end, Por’Lyn overreacted and mauled the human.

“When the three of us were arguing the human challenged us via eye contact and you know how that is and Por’Lyn was trying to get her to submit but she went a little too far.”

Hem’Lar almost scoffed. A little?

“Let me clarify some details. As I had some audio of that argument.”

Hem’Lar instantly noticed a shift in Omega Mes'Mu's previously matter-of-fact mannerisms when the judge relayed that he had been, in part, a witness to what may have happened.

“As far as I could hear, Kudge'Ta was screaming and running before she was attacked.”

Omega Mes'Mu shifted on her legs. “Uh… yes, well… when Por’Lyn began shifting then she started running off.”

“So she ran after Kudge'Ta and bit her two times?” Ty’Bin clarified the details.

Omega Mes'Mu nodded sorely.

Seeing the silence as an opportunity for his own questions, Hem’Lar stepped forward. “What happened to Por’Lyn?” he pointed to the she-wolf being addressed by the MoonDust Pack Theta.

The unfamiliar doctor had put some salve on the Alpha’s daughter's shoulder and was wrapping a clean bandage around the gashes that loitered the once perfect skin. Most of the gashes were superficial and would heal with no marks but a few indicated that they would bear evidence of this night as long as she lived.
