After the strange happenings between a certain wolfblood and I, I had managed to get to the packhouses without any aid from the judge. I never looked back at him and I never said a word to him. I had no idea what just happened in the woods but it was highly dangerous.
My steps were nervous when he followed me into the central packhouse. I wished already that he would go away. Leave me be, yet all the way to Ty'Mee's medical rooms he followed. His footsteps could be heard clearly with my human ears.
I found myself chanting, almost there, almost there.
I turned into the room I guessed Ty'Mee would be in. With a quick knock I waited for a response. The astute he-wolf stepped next to me and waited as well. I hoped that, for my sake, Ty'Mee would not take long. No doubt this he-wolf could smell the anxieties rolling off me. The door opened and when Ty'Mee saw me she excitedly threw her arms around me. “Oh Vae'Lee! I am so glad you are alive! I cannot believe this happened! When they told me that you were missing, my heart just dropped like ten stories and then to also find out my Iota was a part of it just made me-”
“Ty'Mee.” Ty'Bin calmly interrupted his sister.
“Yes brother?” Ty'Mee did not let go of her hold on me.
Ty'Bin smiled ever so slightly, “Please take care of her and when you think she is well enough, Alpha M’est’r wants to see her.”
What?!
This is not what I wanted. I mostly just wanted to go back to my room and sulk for the rest of the day. I already had enough excitement for the week. In fact, I had enough excitement for the rest of my life.
Ty'Mee nodded, “Of course. I will get her as good as new in no time.”
“Please, take your time.” Ty'Bin nodded respectfully and walked away.
When he was gone Ty'Mee cupped my face. “Oh pup! I feel as if this was all my fault! First my Iota instigated this and then I learned that Eta Kun’Zim wasn't even the one who was supposed to be mated with you. Iota just heard me say that and heard you saying you wouldn't do it and then tried to force it to happen. Oh sweetie! I am to blame for this horrid mess and-”
I nearly choked with surprise, “So, Eta Kun’Zim was not the mate prospect?” I asked.
Ty’Mee shook her head, leading me deeper into the room and closed the door. “No, when Alpha M’est’r heard the details he laughed so loud I thought there was an earthquake.”
My brow scrunched up. “He laughed?”
“Well, he was super mad at first and then when Eta Jek'Tew told him that they were just doing what was already planned between you and Eta Kun’Zim, just earlier. Alpha had a laughing fit. Called his cousin a king of fools and ordered all participants to be thrown in the cells. I am certain that some will be made rogue… or not. With the recent strange rogue activities, you never know.”
I sat down on a chair per Ty'Mee's instructions. “But I am confused then, if not Eta Kun’Zim then who?”
“I don't know sweetie and I’m not going to make a guess, quite frankly, I have learned my lesson. We will just have to wait until the mating ceremony to find out.”
