Thank you to those who wished me better! I do feel much better, although this lingering cough sounds like something from a dying engine. *o*
Also, thank you for your patience!

We were not the first ones to reach the cabin. Upon entering we found Beta and Qu'Yda seated at the table, and less than five minutes after arriving Alpha M’est’r walked through the door.
Ty'Bin gave me a tour of the place. It had been empty for a while, I could tell. Cobwebs claimed every corner and dust covered every nook and cranny, threatening a sneeze on anyone who dared to interrupt it. Thankfully the furniture were draped with linen sheets, thus they were preserved from the sinus tickle monsters; albeit a few insects who crawled in and died.
There were two stories to this cabin and with it, many rooms. A large spacious sitting room and large dining area. A parlor, a bookless library and many rooms to sleep and relieve oneself. The plumbing in the restrooms was a hand pump as well as in the kitchen. My attempts to heave the metal contraption up and down left me winded and nary a drop to drink. There Ty'Bin had to assist.
When the men gathered on the deck for a lengthy conversation and Qu'Yda in a room to nap I found myself restless.
Finding a few rags in the kitchen I decided to get a head start in cleaning. First taking a stick from outside I collected all the cobwebs and then began dusting any surface I could reach. This cleaning workout did wonders on my stiff legs.
The house was half clean when Qu'Yda woke and lit candles for light and soon thereafter the Omegas arrived. I noticed right away that they did not have nearly as many carts as they did in the ravine. But then I remembered, we did not need to build tents or need extra blankets. They most likely left that stuff behind bringing only what they needed.
The senior Omega, Mau'Vin, as soon as she walked in she went straight to the kitchen and saw me standing on the counter, wiping the inside of the cabinet, I was retrieving glass cups.
She glared at me with a deep frown. “What are you doing?”
I turned slowly, trying not to disturb my fragile balance on the counter. “Excuse me, I was just trying to get these down so I can wash them.”
She waved her hands, “Aye, no! This is an Omega's job. You are not an Omega so you need to mind your own fur!”
I got down from the counter. “I used to be an Omega.” Somehow, I thought that statement would get me out of trouble.
“Aye but you never were to work. Leave it to us!” Mau'Vin grabbed my arm and began to push me out of the kitchen.
“But, nor, I want to help.”
Another Omega walked in. Mau'Vin scowled, “What are you doing? Clean the bedrooms!”
“They are already clean.” She shrugged.
Mau'Vin looked at me with a side eye. “Did you shake the rugs out?”
“No, nor."
She turned to the other young girl, “What are you waiting for then, go shake the rugs out!”
“And you,” she pointed a finger at me. “You are messing with my schedule. If I have to go to bed early because of this then I am going to wake up in the middle of the night and get no good sleep. What do you have to say about that? Huh? And goodness, doing my job?! What am I? Chopped cabbage? Go on, get outta here. I ought to call you a thief for stealing my duties! Shoo!”
I pressed my lips together to keep from smiling. I did not know why I found this she-wolf's annoyance entertaining but I walked out of the room, nonetheless.
As soon as I stepped out of the kitchen the door slammed behind me. Ty'Bin was standing there with his arms folded and a very humorous expression plastered over his face. “Looks like you've met the wrath of Mau'Vin.”
