You were NOT supposed to be here.

You only came to the boys' volleyball team's after-practice hangout to drop off the notes your friend left at school. In and out-two minutes, tops. But the moment you step inside the house, the loud chatter, the music, the teenage chaos smacks you in the face.

Before you can turn around and walk right back out, Futakuchi spots you from across the living room.

"Oh? Look who wandered into enemy territory," he smirks, leaning back on the couch like he just manifested you with sheer ego alone.

You roll your eyes. "Relax. I'm just returning something."

But your friend is nowhere to be found.

You push open a random door, thinking maybe it's the kitchen-

-only to find a group of drunk idiots in a circle on the floor holding an empty bottle.

"HEY!" one of the guys shouts. "SOMEONE NEW TO PLAY!"

You shake your head violently. "No-no, absolutely not, wrong room-"

But before you can escape, someone grabs your shoulders from behind.

Futakuchi.

Of course it's him.

"Oh come on," he says with that troublemaking smirk. "Where's your sense of adventure?"

You point at him accusingly. "No. No games."

But the bottle gets spun anyway.

Hard.

It whirls... slows... clicks past a couple people...

...and lands directly on him.

Then slowly... almost mocking you...

...ticks to a stop pointing at you.

The entire room HOWLS.

Your stomach drops. His eyebrows raise.

"Well," he says, standing up and offering his hand with way too much confidence, "rules are rules."

You don't even get to protest-because the group starts chanting:

"CLOSET! CLOSET! CLOSET!"

He leans close to your ear as you're pushed inside the small, dark room with him.

"Funny thing is..." he murmurs once the door clicks shut, "...I've actually imagined this."

You choke on air. "W-what?!"

"Oh yeah." His voice is lower now. Teasing. Warm. Dangerous.

"Not the part where you fall into the wrong room," he continues, stepping closer until you can feel the faint brush of his breath, "but the part where you end up stuck with me."

You glare at him even though he can barely see your face. "You're unbelievable."

He smirks in the dark. "I know."

Silence stretches-tight, electric, suffocating.

Then he says quietly,

"You're glaring at me. I can feel it. Want to tell me why you hate the idea of being in here with me so much?"

You swallow. He's close. Too close.

"I don't hate it," you mutter before you can stop yourself.

His hand lands next to your head on the wall.

"Say that again."

You don't.

You can't.

Your heart is too loud.

So he takes one small step closer-barely a shift in the darkness-and murmurs,

"...Thought so."

And when you finally lift your head, he's already there-eyes shining faintly, lips inches from yours, waiting.

Not cocky now. Not teasing. Just... hoping.

You whisper, "Kenji..."

He whispers, "Yeah?"

You give in first.

But he's the one who deepens the kiss like he's been waiting years.

And the moment the door flies open and everyone screams-

"OH MY GOD THEY'RE ACTUALLY KISSING-"

Futakuchi doesn't even pull away.

He just smirks against your mouth and says,

"Guess seven minutes wasn't enough."
