The rooftop was buzzing - music from a tiny speaker, fairy lights strung across laundry lines, people laughing, smoking, drinking, playing dumb party games.

You weren't even involved.

You were just walking back from grabbing a soda when someone shouted:

"LOSER PICKS TWO PEOPLE FOR THE CLOSET!"

Groans erupted across the rooftop.

"Oh come on, bro, I'm not even drunk enough for this!"

People laughed.

Then the loser - giggling, swaying - scanned the crowd for his victims.

His eyes landed on you.

You froze.

"YOU!" he shouted, pointing at you.

"Oh- wait- no-"

"And YOU!" he added, jabbing his finger at Terushima.

The crowd howled.

Terushima blinked. Then grinned. Slow. Sharp. Dangerous in that flirty, I-know-what-this-will-do way.

"Well," he drawled, strolling toward you with his hands in his pockets, "looks like you're stuck with me, sweetheart."

"I wasn't even playing!" you protested.

"Yeah," he said, stepping beside you, voice dropping, "but I always did like unexpected surprises."

Hands shoved from behind.

You stumbled forward.

Terushima caught your wrist just before you fell into the storage closet.

"Easy," he murmured, guiding you inside, "I got you."

The door slammed. Locked.

Darkness wrapped around the two of you - except for a sliver of moonlight leaking through the vent.

You exhaled shakily. "...Great."

Terushima laughed under his breath. "Relax. Could've been worse."

"Really? How?"

"You could've been stuck with someone boring."

You rolled your eyes, but he stepped closer, close enough for you to feel the warmth radiating off him.

He tilted his head, studying you like he wasn't used to people looking back at him with actual defiance.

"You're nervous," he said softly.

"I am not."

"Oh?" He leaned in a little more, lips ghosting the shell of your ear. "So why'd your breath hitch?"

Your pulse roared.

"I just tripped," you muttered.

"Mmh." He smirked. "Sure."

You tried not to look at him, but he was already inching closer in the faint light, gaze softened - not cocky, not wild - something warmer creeping in.

He lifted a hand, brushing a piece of lint off your shoulder, fingertips lingering a second too long.

"You always look this pretty," he murmured, "or is it the moonlight messing with me?"

Your stomach flipped so violently you almost forgot you were supposed to be annoyed.

"Terushima..."

"Say my name again." He swallowed. "Please."

Your breath caught.

"Yūji."

His edges softened. Dangerously.

He closed the distance - slowly, giving you every chance to pull away - until his forehead rested against yours.

"You know," he whispered, "I've been trying to get you alone for months."

Your heart stuttered. "...What?"

He chuckled, low and real. "Guess I finally got my wish."

You didn't have time to respond. His hand slid to your waist, fingers flexing there - waiting, asking.

You didn't pull away.

So he kissed you.

Not wild. Not messy.

Soft. Intentional. Like he'd been holding onto this want for too damn long.

You kissed him back, fingers curling in the front of his shirt.

He exhaled against your lips like he'd been punched.

"Fuck," he whispered, forehead pressing against yours again. "That was... yeah. I'm gonna need more of that."

The door unlocked.

It swung open to cheering.

Terushima didn't even look at them. He just grabbed your hand, intertwining your fingers like it was nothing.

"Game's over," he told the crowd with a grin. "I'm stealing her for the rest of the night."

And he didn't let go.

Not once.
