--After School--
Larisa pov--
"You have to go on a date with that ass hole?!" Izimo yelled when I told her and Paku why I wasn't going to head to the dorm with them after school.
"Izimo!" Paku nudged her, "He isn't 'that' bad."
"Tch." Izimo flipped one of her purple pony tails over her shoulder and leaned in to whisper in my ear, "You watch out, Paku doesn't know this; but he's a double spy for the school and an enemy we're currently going up against, the crazy bastard even kidnapped me!"
"What!?" My whole body locked up on itself. If he's that dangerous or untrustworthy why does everyone act like he's just another kid in the school?! And why would Bon or Koneko leave me all alone with him!? I don't want to go now!!
"Unless you hold any valuable information about True Cross or the Illuminati I don't think you're that much of use to him so you don't have to worry." She noticed my nerve shot stair into oblivion while unable to move. But still, maybe I can ditch him before it's too late, It would be like a 'no show'. ...No, I couldn't bring myself to do that, even if he is thought to be really dangerous. Besides this was all because I wanted to know about my parents. As if traveling all the way to Japan wasn't adventurous enough for me, I get involved with a double spy... Well here goes nothing, if anything goes wrong I'll call on Max.
I met Shima not to far from the school gates where he greeted me with a smile and waving excitedly. He must be a really good spy, I would have never guessed with in a million years he could be anyone but a really flirtatious normal guy that dressed completely normal and went to school with the likes of me.
"Ready to go?" He asked.
"I don't have to hold your hand do I?" I asked making it sound like a joke, but I was dead serious.
"Not if you don't want to." He shook his head stuffing his hands in his pockets and nodded in the direction he wanted us to walk.
"So, you have information about my parents right?"
"I already said I do. Don't get anxious now, if I tell you now what would we have to talk about over our ice cream??" He smirked proudly.
I sucked my teeth sighing, "Alright fine."
"Good! So then, how was your day?"
"Fine I guess. I mean nothing really special. Oh how's your arm?"
"Oh right my arm." He looked down at the still bandaged arm and flexed it then stretched it out, "It's not as bad as that demon lead everyone to believe. I'll live. I've been through a lot worse."
'I bet you double crossing, double crosser.' Was what I thought in my mind, "Oh I could imagine." Was all I really said.
"How'er you liking Japan?"
"It's amazing!" I couldn't lie on that one I'm still totally floored that I'm here! The newness could never wear off!
"Different from America huh?"
"Yeah, a lot different, but in some ways there's things that's kinda the same... I think. I mean... we both breath air!"
"Hah! Thats a good one." He laughed, "Hey hey, talk in English for me?" He shyly looked down to the ground and bit his lip a light blush on his face.
Okay..? This is weird... but I guess could be expected, I've always liked hearing the language spoken even before I learned and understood it. But now I don't know what to say. What would sound nice in English? Ah, I got it!
"Thank you for helping me, you're very nice. And I'm a bit nervous about this date thing but so far it's okay." I wonder if he understood any of it. Probably, I hear a lot of countries now have English as a mandatory class... He was just smiling. I guess he understood because he paused in his walking to take a quick bow to say 'You're welcome.'
"Do you know English?"
"I wouldn't be confidant enough to talk like you do, but I think it's safe to say I know the language. But to speak it is a little different."
"Is it hard?"
"Mhm it was, but at the same time I was learning Latin too so it wasn't all that bad. I just don't want to hear my terrible accent when I try to pronounce certain words." He looked away laughing shyly.
It just dawned on me, what if I have a terrible accent when speaking their language!? Well no one has laughed at me so far so I guess it isn't completely terrible.
Finally we made it to the malt shop and we got our ice creams sitting at the table.
"Ah now then, about your parents..." He sat up in his chair ready to spill the information, when suddenly..
'Thump' a figure plopped down in the seat right next to me making me shriek, it came out of no where!!
